I just started playing the multiplayer. It is a pretty steep learning curve, but its pretty fun.

Caroline: Lets just say that it took everything from the first game and completely reinvented its image and gameplay all in the same turn. It builds from the story on the first, and if you play Ignition and watch Aftermath, you find out what happens after the Ishimura incident and leads right to Isaac's reawakening. The new suits you find in the game have added bonuses, you can use body parts from the necromorphs you kill and use them as a way to impale even more of them to help conserve ammo. There are even new ways to use some of the old weapons too. Like if you fully upgrade the plasma cutter, for instance, it will add a burning effect to the necromorphs too. The cutscenes are absolutely flawless. Instead of adding scene transitions from one chapter to the next, it goes into a cutscene that shows exactly how you get to get from point A to point B.

Oi rune, slight question. I thought you beat the game on hard core? Comparing points trying to catch up with ya it says you didnt beat it or zealot mode?

Yeah, for some reason, the achievement did'nt unlock for me when I beat it. I still have the Hand cannon and everything.

Its not the first time its happened on some games. I did some achievements like on Fallout 3, but some just never registered even when I completed them.

Hmm....Rune, Xivk, I'm going to be getting Dead Space 2 soon enough, since I just finished the first one and nearly crapped my pants at the ending. Any tips on different things or upgraded stuff for the new one?

((Well, then I guess it'll be on my "get used" list. I currently have to finish Fallout New Vegas, Ying Yang, and Atlier Rorona... plus Steam is having a sale on Civ 5 Sad

Not to mention that Alice Madness Returns is also coming soon as is Dead Island... plus, I'm trying to gear up enough in WoW to goto some of the new Cataclysm raids... ugh, I really need to schedule my gametime better.))

((GRRRRRRRRRR!!! Can the stupid statis generator possible recharge any slower? I swear the stupid thing is union.

And, double-GRRRRRRRRRR to all the stupid times I've tried grabbing something useless with the knesis glove, only to grab everything else and its dog... though, at least the other stuff stuns the necromorphs. For that matter, can't Issac get some sort of melee weapon? I mean, really, a mining pick... a big, pokey, spear... something for him to hold? I can't count the number of times he's dropped stuff going through stupid doors.

Anyway, any time I use the rifle on the little, Children of Illian (and super-mondo-kudos-bonus points if anyone knows that reference) I can't help but think "short, controlled, bursts". OH! Not the explody-babies, but the children. The explody-babies creep me out something weird.

So... so far the game is really nifty. And, yet again, I oddly seem to get my air-tanks expanded just a few screens before the next vacuum of space zone... and it's something I totally don't plan.

Just felt like sharing. OH! And, no, I haven't found Peng yet either.))

Peng is in that one room where you had to shut off the power core to that AI, you have to put the different dice looking modules in a correct spot until all the marks are purple, where you will find that the crawlspace will take you right to peng, as well as a treasure trove of items you can use, sell, and upgrade with.
