Maxwell came out of his old run down gym, he rolled out a poster with printed words on it. Going to the door he pinned it up and went back inside the gym.

The poster read:

Boxing club to be reopened. Hiring help and trainers, accountant also needed.
Inquire within the gym during weekdays. Pay and working days can be discussed.

Pachs saw the sign and realized he would be a good boxing practice opponent. He was really good at taking a hit and he was quite strong so his hits would better prepare the boxers for other opponents. He then decided he would see if he could get the job. He entered the Gym looking for someone to ask.

Inside the gym, the first room was a small hallway, there were two doors, one to the left and one straight ahead, which was just an archway, the missing door could be seen from where Pachs was but it was up against the wall in the hallway to his right. inside the room to the left was not important. through the archway, there was a visible mess. a large boxing ring could be seen, ans many weights and training equipment, the interior of the building looked old, with posters on the walls which were faded having been up for over 30 years. alot of noise could be heard inside the room, the sound of wood being broken. Maxwell was ripping down old wood blocking a window.

Pachs made his way down the hallway looking at some of the Posters; some of which he actually remembered hearing about. He had always been a fan of boxing. The concept of a honorable fight between two willing participants was vary enjoyable to watch. He made his way following the noise eventually seeing Max tearing down some of the boards blocking the windows.

Pachs: Ow Hello Max; I saw the signs and though I would come and see if I could help.

He made his way to Max and helped him pull free some of the boards that blocked the windows

Max noticed Pachs walking in and nodded in his direction. "Hey, Pachs right? Yeah what's the craic with ye?" As they both began to rip down the last board a large amount of radiant light shined through the window, it flooded the area and left dark areas of light as the window was dirty. "Yeah, some help would do wonders for this place, what did you have in mind?"

Pachs: Well I've always been a great fan of Boxing and I wanted to come in and help by being a Sparing Partner for some of the Boxers; but from the way things look I can help get this place back into working order. I'm good at building and fixing things and I think it would be fun to help.

(A carpenter could be useful seeing as the gym is in disarray)

Max rubbed his chin and walked up to the ring, stepping up on some wooden steps attached to it, his foot went right through it and he had to grab the ropes to stop himself from falling. Dust splashed off of the ropes and around the room as he grabbed them. Max watched it dance through the air and coughed as he breathed it in.

"Well, you do look like you can take some punishment... it's just your height I'm concerned about."

Pachs made his way closer to the ring and looked conserened at it.

Pachs: I don't know if this ring could support my weight but lets find out.

He then grabs one of the ropes and lifts it up slightly and climbs into the Ring. There is a creaking noise as he climbs into it and an even louder creaking as he stood slowly and he finally stood there on the edge of the Ring. He slowly and cautiously made his way to the center and there was another creaking noise but it seemed to hold him.

Pachs: Well at least the Ring seems OK. The main reason I wanted to help is I have a really strong Right and I wanted to help your boxers learn to take a punch from someone like me; so they will be better prepared to take a punch later on. But If heights the Issue I can crouch a little.

He does this and you see that his face is only a little bit higher then your.

Pachs: how about me and you go a round and if I win; you will hire me. and if you win I'll just help with the rebuilding.

He then takes a Queensberry Rules Style Boxing Pose.

Max smiled at the request. "NO shit? Yeah alright, I haven't had a good wing in weeks."

He climbs up through the ropes and into the ring, taking off his jacket and resting it on one of the supporting beams. "But hey, if you're any good I might stick you as a spar anyway."

Max noticed his Marquess of Queensberry stance and matched it but with a mirror image of the orthodox stance, as he was a southpaw.

Pachs: Just so you know I wont pull a punch.

He begins to circle Max with his fists in front of him guarding any attacks Max may try.

"Good, no rest of hammer." Max sees Pachs circling him and begins to quickly pace in the opposite direction, as a tiger he is faster and more agile that an elephant so he was nearly able to lap Pachs. He gazed at his cover up guard and quickly jabbed with his left at his arms to try to coax a response from him, weary and ready to slip past any punch he would throw back.

He saw the speed that Max had over him; but Pachs was also good at reading people and he saw the faint. He leaned right to let the strikes hit his left side and with a powerful swing with his right hand he swung straight at his now exposed left side.

As expected, Pachs threw a hook with his right, and seeing as Max had just jabbed he was able to slip his head down to the right and bring his back down. Although Max was a little disappointed with himself as he could have Bobbed and weaved to strike a hard blow to Pachs chest.
The hook missed and Max straightened up quickly, throwing a counter of his own with the right, an uppercut aiming for Pachs chin.

He could see the uppercut coming at him so he decided to show him how well he could take a punch. He seemed to drop his guard slightly clearly letting the punch through and you strike him square in the chin. His head jumps back slightly but he just as quickly brings his head back down looking at him..He didn't seemed to hurt; hitting his chin was almost like hitting a Brick wall padded with a few inches of padding.

Max grinned, knowing all to well what Pachs was trying to do. He paced back after his punch, still in his bobbing stance and alert.

"Pretty hard head you've got there Pachs." Max kept pacing, a proper knock-out punch moves 18 inches, all the force put into it matters little, he would have to aim them better. Max didn't seem to feel the pain in his hands, he used to drag his knuckles on stone walls as requested by his childhood trainer. He preferred to mistreat them so they would numb up in the ring, then he could throw them harder.

Pachs: This Hard head guards a Superior Intellect; And I can tell you can hit harder; Don't hold back.....

With this he he lunges forward throwing a Right-Left combo at his sides trying to get him to keep his guard low and then come up quick to the face.

Max bobbed under Pachs left and brought his right arm up to block the right, then he swung two forcing half-hooks near Pachs chest, trying to keep them higher while weaving before withdrawing and standing upright again.

Taking his to hits to the chest Pachs then seeing Max withdraw suddenly swung again with his right and showing his full reach; which was well over double that of Max. He had switched defensive stances before simply guarding now he was keeping Him at a distance. The right punch was heading straight for Max's left side he was trying to push through Maxes defenses with his strength.

Max's eyes widened as he perceived Pachs incoming right swing Max had to use his footwork to pull away and close the gap as he pushed forward to Pachs, now trying to turn the fight into a gutter as Pachs changed his stance.

He let Max come closer to him and as he did his trunk seemed to almost snake out and surprisingly quickly rapped itself around on to his arm and in one motion Pachs was lifting Max up over his head and sending him slamming down into the Ring. His trunk then let go. He looks down at him but still stepping away with his guard up.

Pachs: Now I maybe slow but my Trunk is the quickest part of me and its almost like a third arm. Now do you give up or do you want to keep going?

Max was surprised with Pachs' sudden illegal move.

"I don't wrestle, I box." Max stood up and rubbed his hands down his back. "Not exactly the most fair fighter, I thought we were under Queensberry?"

Pachs: Well all of a sudden you where rushing me and it seemed like you wanted a real fight.......But I guess I miss read you......I'm sorry........I guess that means I forfeit.

"Well, alright. Perhaps you should have a read through the Marquess if you're to be a sparing partner. When someone rushes you they intend for closer swings. Or they could clinch you and rest. A gutter war they call it."

Pachs: Well I've been in only a few fights............None of them ended well........But I guess I'll have to learn.........

He extends his hand for Max to shake it.

"Sounds familiar." Max shakes his hand, happy Pachs did not intend to foul.

He smiles a Max and shakes his hand firmly in his.

Pachs: So it looks the the ring is good and solid.

He stomps his foot a few times down on the Ring.

Pachs: At least something in this place is G"Crash"

With on stomp he breaks through the ring and leaving a big hold behind. He can still be seen partially out of the hole he just made....He looks in pain but he soon begins to laugh...

Pachs: I guess I deserved that.

He continues to laugh even as he stands and is now standing in the middle of a giant hole that is up to his waist.

Max looked in surprise as the elephant crashed through the ring.

He looked down at the elephant who stood up. Max began to laugh himself. "Huh, I guess I'll need to find someone to help make a decent canvas for this ring. Might look into the ropes as well."

He carefully climbs up out of the hole he just made. and makes his way to out of the ring.

Pachs: I think I'll stay away from the the Ring until its fixed..I'll start working on checking this place out to see if its up to code...

"Good idea, don't want any more elephant shaped holes in the place." He laughs and grabs his jacket he left on the beam.

"For now I should look for a good blacksmith and a carpenter."
