I don't see why they wouldn't. I mean, they have heat cycles, so why not... winter cycles. |

Ya they would be more pronounced then they are in humans....we grow hair faster and nails as well but for Furrys the months before Winter would mean lots of fur floating around from shedding....But due to standing upright...this would cause more heat to come out from the head rather then back for most animals....so the hair on there head would help with that in the winter. |

Yes, I think that the fur has to be a little more thick when the winter month come. This would be obvious for Catherine and less obvious for Alice. Also, it must suck for Medel to miss the fun of the winter. Christmas, the battle of snow ball, all the things she heard of but never experienced.
Quoique si elle va à l'équateur, la chaleur devrait l'a gardée debout.

Well, I guess its dependant on the race. My character wears a rather protective uniform to keep himself from being exposed to the elements. |

My perception has always been that shedding doesn't happen in the Bon Bon Universe, and that the natural coat is more or less like skin. Bear in mind that the fursons of the town wear clothing, have additional hair on top of their heads, even a few with facial hair. When it comes to growing in thicker fur or shedding excess, it creates a string of inconveniences, especially from an artisitc standpoint. Who would want to have to add all that hair clinging to clothes during the shedding season? |

I don't know if the fur of horses change during the winter months, but I don't imagine it happening to Constance. She has this really short and smooth fur, and that's how I prefer to imagine her.
I personally don't really find it likely for other characters to grow a winbter coat, because it just seems too animal to me. |

Well, it is possible for other characters to have to shed excess hair. Even from the artistic and the basic form of view, there isn't much fur as to detail out a walking mound of hair and it is also true that most of these have facial hair and such. Which would make shedding something that could be....of some characters at best, perhaps?
As for Winter Coats, it may also depend on the clothes the characters wear and their habitats in general. I mean, some of our characters look like they wear Artic Suits and are prepared for the cold, while others seem ready to go to a sunny and well heated area. |

A bit late but a very interesting thing Chein does come from a cold climate (Tibet area) so has a natually thick coat and well insulated from it. When it gets warm he grooms a lot to shed his winter coat to releive the heat. trick thing is like many Furries I do not think he can do his own back some parts yes but not all, which leads me to wonder if the local Barber or maybe Groomer,(Fur dresser?) might not profit some by performing such a service?. also the shed fur could be cleansed woven (or glued) treated to make winter shawls for the more tropical species to endure colder climates better? or even some of our more cold blooded types keeping thier heat in before they head outside giving them more flexability in liveing in Bon Bon? just a few random thoughts on the matter.Albeit clothes work as well and this is a character aniverse based on human tech of the time. |

Oh, dear. I really hope I don't have to worry about shedding all over the sofa now... I don't much care for dander getting everywhere.
But hey, maybe I'd look good in white. |

Snakes shed their entire skin, leaving a fragile shell-like copy of themselves behind. Now that would be creepy. |
