Thomas Finch was not a nice person, to put it mildly. He drank, gambled, insulted, and pretty much kept his own life to himself without considering other people and it all resulted in a bad reputation and no money to his name. These matters were the least of his worries. It could be said that he could not care less, nor could he care at all… not anymore at least, for he was dead. This was something no one would feel bad about. It used to be said that a law should have been passed for people with bad manners, because many would have gladly had that fox Thomas jailed just to keep him away from people who did not like him. But Thomas did not deserve to die, to be killed. He was even trying to repair his life, to start again actually. Too late now.

A more important thing to realise is that someone did something much worse than anything Thomas had ever done, and they did it to Thomas. Murder. Who did it? Possibly someone who left a trail, and the trail would begin with the fox’s body. The body was not too fat outside of Bon Bon, in a swampy area with tall grass and a muddy lake. In that muddy lake was an old fishing boat, battered and half sunken. Near by to this muddy lake as Félicette, it was the middle of the night and she was snooping around the outskirts of the town, not doing much but exploring which she had not done a whole lot of since she arrived in the town. She would not like what she would find but anyone else heading in the same direction as her would not either. Félicette was walking through the tall grass and listening to the crickets, the grass made it very difficult to see where she was going.

It was a cold, cold night. The winds blew harshly and the trees rocked forth violently, something obviously wrong. Even nature could feel it and this night was certainly one to not be forgotten. Just by the outskirts of town, on one edge of the lake where the trees were thickest and the midnight fog brew in an enchanting sight, three people talked and passed the time. One of these was Wolf, whom quietly moved a large hunk of meat on an Improvised Campfire spit and roasted it evenly. "The meat should be done soon."

The second was a panther, whom hanged upside down from a nearby branch. His eyes greedily eyed the meat and his drool wasn't exactly hidden either. With a loud slurp of his tongue and lips, he clapped his hands. "Oh boy! I'm so hungry I could eat a horse!"

The third was a lovely corsac fox, whose attire was different tonight. With a black corset that busted her chest to look more appeasing, leggings that went down all the way to her boots and colorful laces that somehow did not look flashy, she swinged herself on a nearby vine, her legs going high and low, not revealing anything sensually explicit. "You know...Wolf could arrange that for you."

"Yeah, I know, butuh......he's almost done with this, so with this I go!"
"Just don't eat it all like last time."

Félicette was getting rather muddy trampling through the swampy growth, luckily she wasn't wearing anything she would dislike to get dirty, but all the same she was getting tired of trekking pointlessly. She then began to hear noises from what might have been a nearby camp, ignoring it she managed to scrabble her way through the long grass and come to the edge of the lake. Noticing the boat she wondered if she could make it over to it without getting soaked, the boat was not too far from the edge and maybe she could jump it. Well she couldn't, and she made quite a splash as she jumped in and landed in the water which went up to her chest. It was freezing and she let out a high pitched yelp and breathed out quickly. She hated water, what she was thinking was absurd now that she thought about it. Now that she thought about what she was previously thinking that is. What was even stupider to her was the fact that she seriously miscalculated how far away the boat was, she landed nowhere near it and to get to it she would have to swim. She couldn't swim and sheepishly made her way back out of the lake, moaning and shivering and drenched in water.

At the same time, the noises were heard, Grimm and Wolf looking simultaneously like a bunch of paranoid animals. Grimm just scratched his chin without a word. "Must be some feral animal. Maybe it slipped unto the lake."
"Mind to go check it out then? Spit still needs a few more minutes."
"Aww! I'd better get a big slice later!"

With his objection voiced, Grimm said nothing more as he clumsily fell down on his back unto the ground with a slam. "Ack!.....I slipped.". With a rub of the head and a shake of the chest, a broad smile covered his mouth as he began to walk in direction of the sound. The fog didn't help much, as it thickened on approach to shore. "Hello? Anyone over there?"

a tall feline had walked on by holding hands with a rather lovely black and white cat who was his friend and he had been stareing up at the sky talking to her

"well sophitia sometimes the satrs make shapes up in the sky also know as cosaltions there are many of them and if ya look real close ya can make out the milkyway"

link said before tighten his jacket due to the bitter cold night

sophitia smiled before looking where link had pointed and smiled as she cuddled up closer to the cheetah and let her tail brush againt an oak tree "i undestand so many stars is called a consalations"

link just smiled and kept on walking but also was annoyed as grimm had manged to get sophitia to drag him out this cold night

"tell me again how that asshole panter got ya to make me agree to join you tonight again sophitia?"

Félicette walked out of the water with her arms held out, water dripping off of her. She sheepishly walked away and onto the muddy ground at which point she began to take off her shoes. Hearing a voice she shivered and tried to speak loudly. "Just an idiot over here!" She had a hint of anger in her voice toward herself, not believing what she had done. Her clothes were ruined. She was wearing an old shirt and workers trousers to but they were ruined.

The panther rose an eyebrow with some amusement and crossed his arms. "An idiot? Sounds like me!". With his obviously cheery tone, he slowly began to waddle through the tall grass. Without noticing, the fog had lead him straight to the muddy water and before long, a loud splash ensued. "Aaaaaaaiyeh!". With mud in his mouth, face and ears, the panther quickly got up and shook himself off from the disgusting coverings. "Yuck! This stuff is nasty!".

link smiled as she told him and frowned before curseing grimm "bloddy moron how in the he......."

link stoped talking when he heard a noise in the distnace and stopped sophitia before moveing her over to a very grassy patch and made her self hide in it

"you stay here sophitia i dont know what that was but i didnt like it stay put and dont come out ok?"

link nodded before pulling out a small knife and heading towards where the noise came from

sophitia was about to laughj when she made a small yelp as she was dragged of into a hideing place and just nodded before link headid off looking worried she poked her head out the grass to see nothing but darkness

link growled as he begane haveing to trial though thick mud and growled "if this is one of ya games panter i am literly ganna destory you"

Félicette plunked herself on the ground and took her shirt off, throwing it to the side she was now bare chested her breasts were now shiny and her fur with the water made her look silver, still soaking she noted a splash, then a panther emerging as wet and muddy as she was, cackling she pointed at him and laughed, "I don't feel half as stupid now!" still shivering it was noticeable that her teeth were nearly chattering.

Grimm erupted from the waters caked in mud. If one didn't know he was a panther, one would even go as far as call him a monster from a distance. "Blargh! I can't see nor taste a damn thing!". His arms wobbled foward as he toppled helplessly over the grass. Now grass covered him as well, the panther standing up again and limping aimlessly through the fog. "Anyone there!?".

link didnt like this one bit it was to quite untill another splash was heard and he rushed into that direaction slipping wildy on the mud but keeping his profile low he didnt want to but if his past life style had to come into play it would

"reacking some shorter grass he saw a figer stumbling around calling out and link just got into a pounce pstion it didnt matter to him he was bigger then normal people and by the sound of the figers footsteps he was much smaller then link

waiting till it got close link erupted out of the covering and was about to pounce on the figer but instread slid on some mud and smashed into the figer instead sending the figer into the lake as well as hom self

as soon as the water hit link only one thing could be said "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FUCKING COLD" quicker then he had gone in he was out curseing nonstop

As he walked aimlessly and someone bumped into him, the first thing that he said was "No, goddammit! Not again!". Another splash followed and this time, Grimm pushed and fought his way topside. He roared and shoo heavily. "Braaaaaargh!". He really could be confused for a monster this time, if he wasn't so stupid.

Félicette watched as one stumbled away and another came splashing back, It was a familiar voice at least, but she just continued to laugh and crossed her arms to warm her chest. Then the first arrived back again and she looked at him with awe at how flabbergasting he was, completely covered in mud.

luckily for link he was use to the cold and was only soaking wet then he heard an all to familer laugh of his own house cleaning maid

"uhhhh felicette what are ya doing AHHHHHHHHHHHH SOPHITIA I TOLD YA TO STAY PUT DAMIT"

link shouted in a annoyed way before looking at the white and black cat

sophitia had grabbed link around the wasist and let go quickly in a surpised way "im sorry link it was just creepy by my self i didnt mean to disobey you

link huffed and looked at sophitia then at felicette sophitia go and give her ya jaket ya have thick fur and dont feel the cold im gonna deal with who ever this is he said angrily looking at the caked in mud figer and guessing who it was

"grimm if that you ya dead got it" link growled moveing towards him to propley end up in one of there comdey moments

"Huh!? Link!? That you!?". With his impatience, he stood still and proceeded to shake away all of the mud that he wore very rapidly. Of course, everyone that surrounded this panther was also covered in mud that was once on his face and clothing. "What I do THIS time!?!?".

Félicette watched the three react with each other and felt out of place, like she was missing some part of the conversation which led her to think that Link did not like this Grimm panther whom she had not met herself. Her attention focused on the cat who link spoke to, figuring Link had found himself a partner of sorts. Waving to her and shivering still she tried her best to take attention off of the two who seemed to be squabbling.

moveing towrds him he grabbed grimm and put him in a headlock "first ya scare the crap out of me by takeing a midnight swim then ya look lioke a swamp monster and now ya cover me in mud ya moron"

link then useing his free hand smaked grimm over the head

sophitia giggled at the two's antics and walked up to felicette [placeing her jaket around her and smiled "hello im lnk's friend sophitia HEHE arnt they funny silly cats" sophitia giggled watching them

"Betty Goldblum!? Why aren't you hot all of a sudden!?". The panther finally caught up to the trick and giggled some, that is before the cheetah grabbed him in a headlock and slapped his head. "Ack! You ain't my dad to start spanking me like that! I'mma tell mom!".

Félicette clung to the jacket that was wrapped around her. "Thank you." She then looked to the two again and rolled her eyes. "You can say that again."

"since ya like to swim this time of night take a dip" link laughed and throw the panter back into the lake and quite a good few feet in before he dusted his hands and headid towards the two females

"Wait, no, no, no, no, NO!". Again, the panther splashed down, falling right next to the half sunken boat and popping right besides it. "You jackass!"

Félicette tittered as the Panther was thrown into the water but when Link approached she shook her head no. "Link, quite the meanie pants at times aren't you?"

From where the Panther now was he would be able to see what was inside the boat, it would appear to be something covered in a big black blanket, wrapped tightly in it.

The more the panther rose, the less he realized that he was on a collission course with the boat and after a loud thud and a louder "Oww!!", Grimm turned around whilst rubbing his head. "Who put this stupid boat he-.....huh?". Hus eyes suddenly glued themselves to the blanket, wondering what it was. "What's this?"

link laughed and looked at sophitia smileing "thnaks sophitia ya not to cold are ya?"

With a pull of the blanket, Grimm and Link were left facing a lifeless fox lying on his back in the boat. He was wearing what seemed to be a very fine suit but it looked so dull from the fog and there were no immediate signs of violence. The body was not visible to the girls.

as it was dark link tilted the boat into the moon light and stared in horro at the lifeless fox's body

"AHHHHHHHH WHAT THE FUCK" link shouted before pushing the boat away and looking at grimm

"what? i know something wasnt right come one grimm lets get this boat to shore"

link said grabbing a side of the boat and shifteing it towards the bank
