Corno Grande, the highest of the Apennine Mountains and first climbed in 1573 by Francesco De Marchi, easily scaled (More or less) by hiking... but with the recent winter weather conditions, mild avalanches and rock falls, the paths are a disaster... a long and dangerous route must be taken to reach the icy top...

(Nothing like the real thing)

So who's up for a long and dangerous climb?

Ok, before we start can everyone have a look at that link so we all have a rough idea of what equipment they should be bringing and the dangers to expect.

In other words: Don't bring a gun instead of climbing equipment so you can fend of a yeti from the Himalayan region of Nepal and Tibet Who happened to stop by the Apennines for the weekend.

Seriously though, they need the space for equipment and they have no reason to bring a gun... I mean it's not like I'm planning a situation where it would be far more thrilling to be attacked and to not have a gun or an object specifically designed for killing like a knife and to be only be armed with an Ice Pick...

I cough awkwardly at that kind of thing.

And the basic layout of the story is the map, the key plot settings basically...

Yes. Or perhaps it's just a clever rouse to stop people from using the awful line "Don't worry, I brought this just in case."

Like in AVP, they brought guns... just in case they run into any ancient zombie civilisations I suppose.

Well, Istor just hangs on Silv's belt, so she won't take up any space. As for equipment, I've seen the odd mountain climbing doco to have a general idea of what is needed. Like tents, rope, warm clothing, camping utensils such as a small pot and fire... thingy... they had oil lamps back then didn't they, one might reason that they had some kinda oil powered portable camp fire apparatus.

Moving on then, chaps.

Er and Biorust, a simple jacket? Really? I mean, even if he grew up in Antarctica or something I'm sure you would come more prepared for icy death than THAT
