it might be a good idea to tell you all now that I am actually a male...who wishes to be a female furry... I was afraid I won;t be well welcomed here if some of you guys know I'm a male with female furry spirit ^^; but I just noticed that symphonia is a male too so *giggles* I'm glad

I can assure you that such cross gendering is quite common at the forum.
It can lead to a little embarassment, but not often. Laughing

I do wonder sometines if some of the male fursonas are in real life females. Curious

Yes, I think it happens a lot on many message boards. I usually tend to think that the ones who are the most eager to appear and be seen as female (usually a hot female) are actually male. It's just one of thse internet things, I guess.

Personally I have no interest in being seen as female. Or male really. I prefer to be judged by my comments, and not by what I am or what people think I am. Not that I have any problem with people referring to me as male or even female. I sometimes manage to confuse myself when talking about my fursona, since the common tendency is to say "I" or "me" about it.

My choice of a female fursona is due to how my interest in furry artwork in mostly in the adult kind, so I prefer to see a character I really think is hot, rather than try to come up with an anthro version of myself. Though that's of course not without its problems either.

Anyway, whatever you want your fursona to be is fine with me. And I don't expect anyone to have a problem with your choice of a female fursona, seeing as you're so honest about it.

I think that if you can relate to the feelings, attitudes ect. of your opposite gender then you tend to be a more balanced person. But that's just my opinion as a woman. OH WHAT A GIVE AWAY. Twisted Evil

every other MMO i play i use a female just to toss things up because in some they get better stuff than the males but i tend to stick with males just because they make better fighter classes.

I've never used a female character in a game, though it's not something that's unheard of to me. I've heard of some "female" gamers getting a lot of free stuff from others in MMO's, simply by acting slutty. Laughing

I've personally used female avatars before on message boards though, and on some it's pretty common for male members to have female avatars. From my experience it's the boards that deal with sex and adult themes where many people use a person they find attractive as their avatar.

It really depends on what the character looks like. I have a couple of characters of my own, and whenever a character from a game resembles one or the other, that determines the sex I pick in a game.
