Vedooril smiled at her words. "True Miss Catherine, I do not know this town as well as you, but I assure you, it will be a surprise." He knew what he wanted to do for their date, and as he began to think about it, he focused on his ox carving, slowly adding the finishing details to it, quietly humming a tune.

I trust you as much that you can trust me. I fear nothing in this town and my stomach is ironed by the travel that took me here. This evening will be amusing.

"I have a feeling it will be as well Miss Catherine." He finished his ox carving, running the small string through the new carving, running his fingers over the two carvings, happy with the work. As he sat looking at the carvings, a hawk landed in the tree above him, with something tied to it's leg. Vedooril sighed, standing and removing the paper, reading it, then releasing another sigh. He leaned down to pick up his two carvings and his knife. "Miss Catherine, I apologize, but I must take my leave for now. I look forward to seeing you later tonight." He held his arm up, letting the hawk onto it.

Vedooril sighed as he looked at the evening sky. "Well that was hardly worth asking me to handle, sheesh." It had taken him a few hours to finish the assignment. When he had finished, he had returned to the park to find Catherine gone. He had returned to his mansion, to finish the bracelet, and wait for evening.

He straightened the silk cape over his right shoulder, as he exited his mansion. "I'll be back in a bit with a guest. You all can have the night off." He headed off down the street, carrying his now finished wooden bracelet. An eagle, an ox, and a fox depicted in perfect carvings, laced throughout with small bits of metal, polished to a shine.

He walked down the street towards Catherine's shop, outfitted in a nice set of clothing. He kept his pace brisk wanting to reach her shop before the sky turned black. He sung quietly to himself as he walked down the street.

Vedooril smiled as he stepped into her shop, giving a slight bow from his waist. "Good evening Miss Catherine. I'm here to escort you on a date, as promised." He approached the counter, straightening his shirt. "And I brought you a present." He gently took her hand in his and placed the bracelet he had carved that day into her hand. "I do hope you like it." He smiled gently, releasing her hand from his.

It is suppose to protect you from evil spirit that steal the fertility and sell them to evil shamans. Who know, maybe it will safe your bloodline one day.

He chuckled, trying to hide a light blush. "Well thank you Catherine. It is a wonderful gift." He took it, examining it, running his fingers over it. He looked up at her, smiling as he looked around the shop. "Very nice shop. I can't imagine what goodies I may find here."

Well, I have this lovely little fertillity goddess. I have also this lovely statue bring back from a pyramid and this painting represanting some demons tempting poor mortals that could interest you.

Vedooril smiled as he was shown the items, but his eyes were caught on the painting. He picked it up, gently trailing a knuckle across the painting. "Demons...." his voice trailed off, as he continued to stare at the painting. He seemed lost in the canvas, his face blank, ears slightly drooped, and his tail completely still.

His ears twitched, as he blinked a few times, a few tears running down his cheek. He quickly brushed them away, looking at her, his voice quiest as he said, "Demons are not unseen, nor unreal Miss Catherine. People are swallowed by the demons inside them constantly. I have seen what these demons, or sins if you prefer, can turn a fur into. Left alone, there'd be to many, but," he looked back at the painting, "that's why there are those like me."

He sighed heavily, standing, "I'll take the painting, and if you ever come across paintings, sculptures, or anything of the sort with demons in it, please do not hesitate to contact me. So how much for the painting then?"

You don't strike me as a religious type, so I suppose your job is more law oriented.Either when you maintain or break the law, you see the worst of humanity in this kind of job...

He reached into his pocket, pulling out the coins, and dropping them into her hand. "I am not religious in a normal sense, due to my upbringing, but yes I do help maintain law and deal with the dangerous criminals." He took the painting, and walked to the door with it, leaning it against the door frame. He turned to face her, smiling, "Though talking about my job is not something I'd like to do right now. Instead, are you ready to go, or do you need a little more time?"

*takes a quick glance at a nearby mirror then nods. Catherine had prepared herself in advance but she wanted be sure that a rebellious hair didn't move out a place.*

He smiled, opening the door for her. "Well I rented a small cafe out for the night, and am planning on hand cooking both our meals." He hoped that she would be happy with the arrangement, but was feeling unsure of the offer.

"I've been cooking for myself since I was younger. So I'd like to think I'm an excellent chef, but I'll let you be the judge of that, Miss Catherine." He smiled, offering her his arm. "It's only a few blocks away."

"I suppose it is." He stopped for a moment, "Pardon, I need to have the painting delivered." He walked over to a carriage driver, spoke a few quick words, put some coins into the mans hands, then came back to her side. "There, that's taken care of." He took her arm again. "We're almost there."

He chuckled as he led her to the door of a small cafe, lit from the inside by candles and a fire in the small fireplace. As he held the door open to her, he bowed slightly from his waist, "Vedooril Melimane, your escort and personal chef tonight Miss Catherine."

He chuckled, following her inside, letting the door shut quietly. He walked through the small cafe, and propped the door to the kitchen open. "I'll be cooking in the kitchen, but you'll be able to watch me." He walked to the table set up in front of the kitchen, pulling her chair out for her.
