Yeah... I don't think I've seen two people so conflicted who WANT sex. Red wants the prestige... for a while I was really wondering if he wanted Mary at all except for the status. I'm still not quite sure of that yet... his first impression of her WAS one of an innocent trophy wife.

Meanwhile, Mary's... well... not picky. She pushed herself on Red because he was there; the day before she pushed herself on William... because he was there. I don't think Mary CARES anymore... she's an extrovert, the equivalent of a catholic schoolgirl intent to sin at the first opportunity.

Betty and Mary are bound to talk again, and they'll work out a way for Mary to get a taste, and William will HAVE to be involved... because Mary can't leave the mansion without him.

Can't wait to see how it goes!

Ms Vanessa is quite adroit in the creation of Red's character and background. The clues are all there if you go back over the story and by using Ms Vanessa's own comments in the forum recently.

Red refers to himself as a Gigolo, a man who is supported by a women, and especially a younger man by a older woman. This man acts a companion to an wealthy woman ether single or widowed.
He would likely escort her to the theater, parties and other functions. It would be also a given that he would have to be her lover too.
However while this may sound like a job of a life time, it also depends on the Lady that the man is beholding to. He may be treated well, like a friend, as a servent or little better then a pet. He would be clothed and fed by his mistress and perhaps given some pocket money.
But hanging over him is the thought that at any time his mistress may bore of him or find another "Pretty Boy" more to her liking and he would find himself out on the streets, pennyless and destitute without even the fine clothes he dressed in.

Ms Vanessa made a reference to Red and Symphony's character being lovers in the past.
This would be a perfect senario. Ms Symphony is a famous opera singer, travels the world, never in one place too long. What better way to relive the boredom, stress and loneliness then by having a hansome companion to accompany her to the various countries.
Well it is only speculation.

Mmm... I'm not going to read too deeply into the text, myself. Not safe, since the translation is not consistently good enough to be confident on subtext and innuendo. (Sorry, Martin and Vanessa!)

I don't mind just chalking up Red's reluctance to feeling it is inappropriate with Mary, 'faithfulness' to Betty, and likely a mixture of more inscrutable motives.

However, I will speculate on future events. Now that Mary and Red are engaged/betrothed, Mary, William, and Red will very likely go out on the town together. Though I imagine Red will likely split quickly and leave Will and Mary alone together in this den of iniquity. Razz

I love the scenery of the latest page. I'm always enjoying outdoor scenes, and this page has some really nice views of the outisde areas of the Blue Manor.

My favourite panel is the second one. The background is very nice, and I really like Red and Simon in it. Red is looking very nice, and Simon is funny the way he's fidgeting with his moustache.

Well, we know now that Red know about Mary's mother. For some reason, I am sure that this will come back haunt the story later. We have strong hint on who it could be but we have yet to have a confirmation and Mary probably ignore that fact.

Luckily Ronald is fine. The problem comes from internet, he doesn't get my E-mail, or rather sometimes he does and sometimes not... I hope to be able to solve this problem soon. As I already told you in the past I have a wi-fi device that often drops the connection because where I live there's not much covering (I surf at 1 mega! That's kinda wondrous...), so changing E-mail wouldn't be enough, it's a matter of connection.
I'd like to answer some comments.
I loved how you noticed that Red always has his mustache on one side of the face, but only on the side facing away from the viewer rather than the one in full view. This is just a matter of style, as Symphony said I didn't want to "mar" Red's face since I want to see him always well groomed and the mustache gives me a feeling of "disorder". William is fine with them instead since they give him an unkempt, savage look.
So I thought I'd give the impression of Red's mustache only perceivable in the background but not directly visible on the face. The idea of them being there is given anyway, keeping the face well-kept and smooth, as Symphony said. Smile

I like the BKG of page 27 a lot myself too, pity that the balloons cover it, I'm planning on showing a textless version, maybe putting it on DA to do a bit of healthy advertising (official rather than pirated).

As Vanessa stated. The problem is with her Internet or email.

This is the reason why pages are being posted so late or backdated because the update was for a specific week, and getting the pages late I post them late (but intended for a specific date).

I hope Vanessa can fix her email/Internet.

The emails actually have a "sent date" and she did infact send it a certain day. But some how I receive em really late.

It could be attachments are delayed as a result of some mail server file scans? Who knows.

Hope you guys enjoy the comics so far though.
