Yeah, so a lot of you have been wondering where I disappeared to, and I'm sorry I wasn't able to let you all know this sooner or stay in contact for all these months.

The long and short of it is that in October, due to the bad economy and poor choices on the part of my previous landlord, I had to move fairly quickly in October to a new house. As with any move, there's always some problems with restoring one's connection to the Internet, and this was no exception... it wasn't until mid-November when I was finally able to get re-connected.

Unfortunately, I was extremely busy during the months of November and December due to the holiday season, and didn't have any time to catch up to the activities of the forums. I still would check the site from time to time, keeping up with the updates as often as I could, but I decided I needed to take a short break from the forums to catch up on other things in my life. Plus, I thought it would give me the opportunity to work on my writing, and hopefully have something from my BonBon fanfic done for everyone to read by the time I came back.

Then came January, and with it some of the first big winter storms of the year. In getting reaccustomed to wintery weather, I began to notice my internet connection was acting a bit buggy... some days it would work just fine, other days I wouldn't be able to keep a connection going for more than 5 minutes at a time. As it turns out, a large amount of ice covered one of the outside access boxes to the phone-lines, which i think screwed up some of the wiring or something. Anyway, to make a long-story short, if the weather is exceptionally cold outside, I am pretty much without usable Internet. And it has been an exceptionally cold month and a half.

I'm currently looking over my options, seeing whether it would be better to get the phone company over to look over and fix the DSL situation (which could possibly mean more $$$ out of my pocket, I don't know yet), or simply discontinuing their service and seeking other venues, like the local cable company.

So, in short: DSL sucks, need new Internets...

I hope to get this problem fixed in the next week or so, but we'll have to see what happens. This isn't my official "Hey guys, I'm back!" message, just my "Sorry dudes, I suck at life" message. Oh well, hope everyone else is doing better than I am.

You've been gone for so long, I was beginning to fear that we'd never see you again.

It's really unfortunate that you're having problems with your connection, and even though you might not be fully back yet, it's just good to hear from you again.

You really had me worry that you disappeared out of the blue and might possibly be never heard or seen, again.

So glad that you made the time you had to tell us and letting us know that you're still moving.

I too am very glad and relieved that you have returned my friend. I was begining to fear that you had left for good. It would seem that 'Global Warming' means quite the opposite, there being heavy snow and blizzards in Britain too. I hope your problems with the net are sorted soon.

So that's what happened to you. I thought maybe the law had finally caught up with you from your old outlaw days or you'd been drafted. Either way, I am very happy to see our trickshooting trickster back in the saddle. As for your internet, I recommend Comcast. I've used them for as far back as I can remember and I've always been satisfied.

Well, looks like it took me a little longer than I expected to be back online, but... eh, well, I'm here (and so is my hat) Laughing

I'm not promising I'll be posting twelve times a day like I used to... it'll take me quite a while to catch up to everything in here, especially some of the changes in the boards. I might even have trouble recognizing a few of the people who go their avatars while I was gone, but at least I'll be less inclined to forget about this place for months at a time. Embarassed

Still struggling with my writing, but I did manage to post a short Bon Bon related fanfic on SoFurry.com (formerly YiffStar.com). I have a link to my page there in my signature below... the new story's called "The Substitute Tooth Fairy: A Bon Bon Tale", and it's my attempt at a Betty Goldblum side-story. Let me know what y'all think.

Oh, and before I forget to say it, I missed each and every one of you.

Just an FYI, I had to cancel my subscription, since money's a bit tight at the moment. Am looking for a second job to supplement the income from my first job (paying back student loans is a bitch), so I'm hopeful that I can rejoin the main site soon. Until then, I'm not going to be able to follow along with the comic and do the usual "cheering on Vanessa" thing... BUT I'll still try and make it into the forum as much as i can, joining in whatever conversations and threads I can (except the ones about current BonBon issues, I suppose).
