Im planing on starting a slower pased RP, so durring the month of December i will be looking into proposed oppinions as well as submited charicter bios for this SciFi RP. The post style will be that every one that is accepted will take post in order that i set and each player will have 24 hours to post or they skip ther turn. Eny way the setting is a semi original setting the is inpsired by Wing Commander Privater, and Outlaw Star.

Setting bio:

After the third great war, mankind and its creation the Monroe haveing found that earth was lacking in resorces decided to settel in the stars. Man and Monroe created collanys and teraformed planets. After meny years man for some reason that the Monroe dont know, Man just up and left the Monroe behind and moved into a feild that is only know today as the Spher. Thus with the Monroe abandoned, they had the pick up the pieces and start ther own goverments and companys them selves. Now with seens the invention of the Hildren Drive utuliseing a new energy source called dragon ore. With the new drive the monroe are now able to move from planet to planet in a matter of days and weeks rather than years and decades createing a new era of exploration and trade, Giveing rise to pirates, privaters, mercenarys, and explorers. The only question you have to ask is, what will you and the rest of the crew be?

Races: The Monroe races use a major and a minor. The major is the base race such as dogs,cats, etc. While the minor is one of three types.

type 1 (aka.human like): The human like are almost like the human creators that made the Monroe, but what makes them differnt is the fact that they have animal like ears and a tail and depenednt on the Major other features. when you are watching a reenactment of human history Type 1s are the ones playing as the humans.

type 2 (aka. norms): They look like the kind of people you see on the PBB comics.they usualy make the majority.

type 3 (aka Beast kin): They usualy stand at 7.0 to 8.0ft tall with out head hair, and with digi grade legs. normaly found at the minority of most citys and towns.

This is a start for now, i will post more info later on, depeneding on poster interest.

Reading this inspired a race
Placids : Pretty big and tall like the beast kin, Alligator and crocodile like creatures. Pretty tough skin. They're big and dumb they seek to fufill their basic needs of food and warmth, after those are provided they seek direction; for they were genetically made for burden such as mining or guarding, with a few exceptions rising up to take command. What makes a respectable placid leader, one who keeps the bellies full and the flesh warm, if any one can provide those needs than any one can lead hordes of placids even non placid species. Origin of their name placid comes from other creatures who notice the low levels of mental thought amongst the placid kind, one thing is for sure a placid usually doesn't have a political opinion unless food is provided in exchange for loyalty.
Weaponry: hammers, axes, and jaws
Transportation (if allowed) : beat up put together transport frigates.

Here is a dosie of a few of the goverment factions you can deal with on the RP.

The United Republic of The Star:

The Republic started as a loose colection of planets, space stations, and colonys that banded togeather for protection and political unity after humanity left. Seens it's beginings the Republic has grown to be one of the largest and prosperus goverments in the new Monroe controlled space, only equall to the Princapality Heldreck. Unfortunitly the two super powers have started to an agressive stareing contest that every one knows can only end when one of the two fires the first shot, then it's on to all out war over what first started over an arguement about the morality of Hildreck's use of slavery to only escalate bit by bit by other things both petty and important. But for now the Republic uses Privaters in order to under mind ther arch rival with out them being abble to point a finger, as well as to deliver important (or some times just a fake smoke screens) items and documents.

Swizz Land:
A pasifist goverment that tends to stand back let others fight each other while they sell weapons to both sides. Thou Swizz Land does have some lovely planets and a great educational system, you should never mistake ther pacifistic ideals for weakness. Becuase meny a wanabe war lord has fallen prey to Swizz Lands idea of a draft, That is to give every man and woman that comes of age (except thous that have documented arrests or records of mental problems) a rifel and a case of ammo (thou in the space collonys its an sub machine gun and a case of 9MM safety ammo.) Swizz Land tends to hire out to people who are willing to hunt down pirates that have stolen weapon and ammo shipments dead or alive, thou some times they just ask for the head.

Princapality of Heldreck:
Unlike the Republic of the Star, Heldreck took up being a Monarcy at is creation and still is today. As the goverment is trying to stare down is main rival, the monarcy is trying to keep anti-goverment rebels and escaped slaves from causeing problems. So it's no secret that the Monarcy is hireing hired guns to quell rebel up riseings and capture and return escaped slaves. Thou ther has been rumers of the Heldreck hireing space prirates to hijack Star shipments.

The Kingdom of Salesh:
a small democratic monarcy the was only three dessert planets and some heavy asroid belts that became vastly wealthy when the use of dragon ore was dicovered. Now the kingdom enjoys vast wealth with its mineing operations of the heavely asstroid hit sections of ther planets, and a coltural explotion due to it new found wealth. Thou being the new kid in the big leages with it's size, the kingdom's queen knows that she would need to stay a step ahead so her kingdom doesnt get short changed by the coperations as well as draged into the Star's and Heldreck's preperations for total war, and postureing. Thus the Kingdom hires profetionals for corperate espionase to help keep the queen and her small kingdom from being consumed (as well as to save face by disavoying said hired guns existance if he or she is killed or captured.)

I hope this isn't to much but here's my idea.

Planet: Odin
Geography: Mountainous, two Oceans, Vast Forests, Small Plains and Desserts
Recourses: Large mineral deposits (Iron, Gold, Silver, Emeralds, Oil etc.)
Government: Parliamentary Republic
Prim Minister: Lora Trance, Female Beast kin Coyote, Age 54
Capital: Camulodunum
Races: Scattering of types 1 and 2 but majority are type 3, mostly Wolves, Fox, Coyote, Wolverine and Jackal
Population: Over Five Hundred Million
Technology: Modern
Military: Two Million divided between Army, Air Corp, Space Corp, Navy and Marines

Odin has a sizable Space Force. A total of one hundred and eleven capital ships comprising of Battle Cursers, Frigates, Destroyers and a handful of Carriers, and thousands of fighters, bombers and interceptors. Having two oceans it was decided to also build a Navy to patrol the waters. At the same time the Naval vessels are capable of firing into space thus become floating planetary defense platforms. Its Army consists of Light and Medium Infantry, Advanced Artillery, Battle Tanks and a variety of armored vehicles. The Marines operate just like the old United States Marine Corp in so much that they adopted the Marine Corp symbol and motto, Semper Fidelis.

Background: After years of being a minority on many worlds a young Beast kin Fox named Thrain decided to find a world for other like him. On the outer rim of the known Galaxy he found a beautiful mountainous world he named Odin, of the old Norse God. Once founded many Beast kin immigrated to Odin and over the years the world has thrived. This its vast mineral deposits Odin became prosperous and many investors from other worlds flocked to Odin, bringing their families along with them. The people of Odin have kept out of major Galactic affairs for some time now. Not wanting to get involved with the constant squabbles between the United Republic of the Stars and the Principality of Heldreck. Odin has a cordial economic and political relationship with the Kingdom of Salesh. There is only a small embassy in the capital of Swizz Land. Odin has other contact with other worlds but has no wish to become part of any alliance at this time.

With the constant problems with Pirates and Raiders a special task force was created to deal with the situation. With agreements with multiple smaller nations the Wolf Pack Pirate Hunter Squadrons (WPPHS) hunt down and either capture or destroy Pirates and Raiders. Those that are captured are turned over to the local governments for trial.

Items of notest.

Resemble: The penical of cybernetic technolagy. A mix of machine and vat grown skin and muscel that is easyer to controll and feals more natural than earlyer cybernetic implants. It has also been used to bring about a new type of cyberog robots that have been nick name White bloods. But the body can only handle so much before the body and mind start to feal side affects. so goverments tend to limit the body to 40%.

Persa comps:
Almost every planet has a wireless internet access (thou some places are an exception.) thus most people keep a monacel like device on them on all times to send, receve messages, to declare them selves avalable, banking, and other silly and imporant things people do with ther comps.

Cyber pixys:
Cyber pixys are best discribed as a comp OS with a personality and AI. They range from said pixys, to chibi style imps, to even fural animals. Thou only the person with the pixy's comp can see the pixy unless they have holgram display. It is also to note that ships computer use a type of cyber pixy as well.

Im sorry Thorne, but i cant allow it. The robots in the Rp that i will be GMing will be NPCs only.

Also bio robots called white bloods look almost like humans except for ther antena ears. The reason being is because previus atempts to make Monroe like bio robots resulted with the planets work force becomeing paroniod about being laid off for because of a robot. So after a riot on said test planet The meny goverments made laws about the bio robots they dont have to deal with eny more riots over that subject.

NPC is a means None Playable Charicter. If you have played an RPG video game an NPC would be the charicters that you see and talk to in but have controll over, the same applys to pen and paper and form RPGs and even just RPs.

A religious order called the Levitians
All species welcomed in their ranks, They permeate most of the republics allowed, looked upon as a cult in some eyes, valued for their power, feared for their KGB operations against religious delinquents.
They use power armor, carry quite heavy weapons, flamethrower's nicknamed witchburners and gatling. witchburner's are only good for two mighty belts of fire, After depletion of ammo, hammers with plasma cores and swords are the weapons of choice.
Their Motto "We are the products of the mankinds sin, but we are also a bitter sweet blessing, lets not repeat their mistakes. Keep to their good book and the light will show you the way."

Ship: Ragnarok - Battlecruiser (Looks something like this http://www.sg-soc.com/Daedalus_class_battlecruiser.htm, add a few more weapons, no nukes and you have the Ragnarok. Also, this is the style for all of Odin’s Battlecruisers)

Background: Michael Raynor is the son of Admiral Carl Raynor of the Odin Space Forces. As soon as he turned 18 Michael joined the Space Forces and quickly moved up the ranks. By the time he was 26 he was a full Lieutenant and by his 30th he was a Commander. After serving for a time around Odin he signed on with the WPPHS. He was given the rank of Captain and for the past five years he’s been hunting down pirates and raiders. Due to his unorthodox tactics and doing things his way and his superiors gave him the nick name Rogue Wolf. Because his tactics work most higher ranking officers turn a blind eye. There were some though that did not like how he ran his ship, the Ragnarok. Of those few one of them was his father and after a brief and harsh argument they had a falling out. To this day the two have not spoken.

Michael also commands three other ships, two frigates, the Boudica and the McCay, and a destroyer, the Kirkland, with was also used as a medical frigate when the need arose .

The RP will start of on the resort collony of Cloud 9.

Cloud 9 has two faces to it. The general public see it as a place to party and gambel while as well as to relaxe and enjoy the meny parks owned and controlled the Little Wing corp. But others know it as a privater stop wher meny pick up a job after droping off ther cargo and blowing dough at a strip club. meny delagets go to Cloud 9 to hire said men and women while enjoying the rest of ther trip as an allaby.

Cloud 9 does allow guns, but eny thing higher then 9mm and not safty type are not allowed and must be kept in a safe deposit or better off in your ship. (note: safty types were made to help keep security in space stations and collonys while not risking breaking a seal, when a safty bullet hits solid metel or reenforced glass, ther bullet crumbels to dust. but if it organic tissue the bullet will do what bullets were originaly made to do and drill through the person/thing.)

Aaron: aside from ther commanding three other ships your charicter sounds good. Please post your charicters inventory load out. and the reason he would come to a place like Cloud 9. Other than that you will be first in the posting order.

No I don't think that would look quite right, For guards, they always where armor, and most have the plasma hammers at hand, at least one in the group will have a witchburner.
The plasma hammer is a mean weapon, the center of the hammer's head is hollowed out, in this space there is a plasma mechanism, that when swung it releases a burst of plasma upon impact, the hot plasma is capable of burning holes through armor.
The kgb like agents of the Levitians are not in armor, and they do not carry the weapons the rest of the forces carry. The weapons they carry are similar to the weapons of the general population, helps maintain secrecy.

Raynor would be there with a few of his men to track down a contact to learn if any pirates are on the move and where he would be able to strike them.

I think i will hold off on it seens im running into some writers block on the story ideas. I think i'll look back into this with Tearlaches help if he would be interested.
