Is there some type of Role Play guide anywhere for new members to read and learn how to RP. I'm not saying I'm a master of RP (I've done more Chatroom and 3D RPing than forum) but it just seems like alot of newer members would be better off with an RP guide, and its something more experienced roleplayers would be interested in.

I can write one if anyone is interested.

I believe there is that somebody wrote, but I can't remember for the life of me where.

A long time ago, a thread was made about Roleplaying Etiquette:

Bah! I think its fine to control someone's character. Everyone should give an order of guidelines for use of their character, in case they are unable to show up for some time and their response or interaction is a dire linchpin in the story.

And if they keep picking on you Caroline, I'm back to for good now, don't forget. *nods*

Oh. Look here. I see the guy with the 19 page long post judging someone else's posts.

Tell me, LabrnMystic. When you are participating in an RP, do you think it is good etiquette to have your post be as long as the entire CHAPTER of a novel?

Depends, really. If you have a large number of people to respond/interact with, but its usually a kind gesture to at least make a different post instead of one large one. I know I've had to post 1/6 of a forum page replies before, but that was usually me either answering to 12 different people individually so no one felt left out, or because I was telling a story and interaction was not required.

Otherwise, I'd find shorter phrases and ways to reply.

No worries. I had though it was at me since I was the only name he mentioned.

Writing novel replies, are we Mr. Stride? Razz

Its ok. Sometimes there's a lot to answer for or if you can't find just the right words to paint the picture, we end up using X times as many words to make up for it.

I'm sure not every response of yours is such, seeing how you've been giving 1 sentence replies.

-Chuckles nervously-

Eheheh.....well, when I roleplay I certanly enjoy to take up my time is all and Silvador seems to hold a grudge and well.....I wrote a 20 page (Word based) reply on one of our latest Roleplays here in the forum and almost nobody wants to read it.....

.....and I understand. That's WAY too many words for normal. Confused
