Félicette was sitting inside the local library at a table and reading, the book she was flicking through was filled with poetry and fable stories. Something to check out like that would keep her entertained for a while. It was late at night in the Library and the candles were all lit which gave the rooms ghostly yet warming glows. Félicette knew that the Library would close soon but she wanted to have a look around the upper levels to see what she could find. But for now her attention was unconcerned with that.

On the second floor of the library, a figure paced back and forth every few minutes or so. Books were stacked in large mounds on the edges of the railing and some intense page flicking could be heard. Once finished, a loud 'foop' from the book being closed and shoved into it's place was heard. This continued for several minutes until he found one particular book, in which case no closing was heard from. Now, the intense page changing was toned down to a more moderate, less than hearable level.

Leaf's eyes ran across the pages of an open book in front of him, taking in the words transcribed on them. He had been researching the history of Bon Bon and how the town became what it was today. So far, he learned that it was the rich deposits of rare diamonds that drew settlers to the valley. The sale of these diamonds brought wealth to the settlement, allowing it to grow and proper...

The rabbit gently closed the book and set it down on the table besides a nearby stack of them. He stretched himself in his chair and yawned, feeling his muscles stretch and pop from the time he spend sitting down. Leaf then pulled out his pocket watch and popped it open to glance at the time.

"It's so late... I better get going and put back these books."

Getting himself up from his chair, Leaf gathered the stack of books in his arms and started making his way to the history section of the library.

A woman was carrying a large amount of books towards the shop, only the tips of her ears peaking above the novels and fiction stories. She was stumbling along with the heavy load but was able to reach the door on the library. With her hands full, she was unable to open the doors to get inside. Not seeing any other way, she began tapping on the door with her foot, hoping that someone was inside and was able to hear her.

One of the Library hands was reading his own book and the librarian was moving some of the window's barred frames in place when someone was tapping at the door. The librarian ignored it as he continued with the windows and locked them up. Félicette was on the same floor and noticed this, but when she sighed to get up and open the door herself the Librarian finished locking the windows and rushed to the door. Opening it he saw a woman clutching a mountain of books, he looked quite agitated and grabbed some of the books to reveal her face and scolded her. "Do you realise how late it is?"

The staff of books felt quite heavy in Leaf's arms as he made his way around the library, searching for the right bookshelves. Gradually, the stack became smaller and smaller until only one was left in his paws.

He was about to find its proper shelf when he heard a commotion. He peeked over the railing of the foyer and saw the librarian being cross with someone carrying a large stack of books in her arms. The rabbit decided to wait and see what was about to happen.

"Yes I do. And I would like to donate these books, but if this is how the staff acts, I'll take them elsewhere." the lioness behind the books said with sternness in her voice. She had been carrying the books for quite a while and they were getting quite heavy.

The librarian groaned as he heard her explanation. "Why must I do all this work alone tonight? I wish you would have come earlier when It was possible to check books in, now I have to do more sorting and enter these books into our archive lists!" He sighed and held the door open with his foot, taking some of the books from her. The man was quite obviously miserable and had had a long day. "I would rather a payment be made for the sake of not having to write these up as a donation, I wouldn't have to deal with books being sold to us." He continued to mumble to himself.

Félicette tittered to herself as she watched the two, she then went back to reading her book.

The rabbit's ears drooped out of agitation at the librarian's attitude. With the book in his paw, he set it down on a nearby table and made his way downstairs. "Here... Let me hold those for you," Leaf said after walking up to her.

The sudden bickering below gave way to another loud echo from a book being forcefully closed. The bickering wasn't particularly loud enough to disturb anyone and the sound made from the book was made to no one in particular. Nonetheless, someone didn't seem to be in a rather good mood and as he jammed the book back with plenty of force, he took just a scant three from the huge pile over the railings and began making his way down towards the first floor.

Once down, he turned to the entrance where he had last heard the Librarian. Good thing he still was there. "Excuse me.....when you're finished, could you please help me with something?".

The librarian moaned a little more and turned to the wolf, sighing at his request for help he set the stack of books on a table.

"Do you need directions to the bathroom? to a specific section in the library? I really don't have much else to do tonight but lock up and everyone is making it very difficult for me tonight. But... let me hear what you need help with."

"Ugh...". Wolf was in a foul mood and the Librarian in a fouler mood still. He didn't have the time or patience to deal with him at the moment and as he scratched his forehead lightly, he looked foward again. ".....there is a Medical Catalogue missing on the second floor Medicine section. I remember reading it this morning, but I can't seem to find it now. Seeing as you are busy... I'll just go find it myself.".

"It's possible that it has been checked out. The list that will tell you so is on my desk. Right now I must handle this and lock up, I hope that you all remember to leave soon because I'm not the one who will be shooing you all out, my assistant is.. somewhere around here and he'll be the one to lock up."

The Librarian then turned his attention to the woman who was now being helped by a rabbit. Speaking to him he said "If you're helping move her books then set them on that table there by that feline, he pointed to the table where Félicette was sitting and her ears perked up, looking over she waved sheepishly. The librarian then grumbled more and looked to the woman. "I will need your name so I can jot it down thank you very much."
