Dragon Ball the series to Z and GT and etc

Dragon Ball been around in the 80's to today

and i'm counting the imported games too
there where a few Dragon Ball games for the NES, GameBoy,
then Sega Gen and Snes, to the Saturn and PS1

and still on going XD

so what video game franchise you think is the longest
and should it take a break or retire?

So what about the people that do still enjoy the game Silv? Did you ever take into consideration that people still actually like the games? I mean yeah, I don't very much care for this generation's version of FF, but I still like the franchise as a whole. Plenty of other people do like it, so you, nor I can very well condemn them from enjoying it.

You make it sound like the game should be discontinued because you don't like it, so you, by effect, bash on every person who enjoys it. You gon about just your own opinion with little regard towards anyone else's, and when somebody does, it turns into one big argument.

The question was asked and I answered. Don't bitch and moan just because you don't like my answer. If you want to interpret my answer in that way, so be it; that is your problem, not mine. I couldn't give a rats arse what you think, nor what you think of the game. I couldn't care less if was the best game in existence. I'm sick and tired of hearing about the franchise and seeing new additions to it be released. It's my opinion that the brains behind each new game should be thrown on the bonfire made from their own product.

Opinions were asked for and opinions were given. If you don't like it, then fuck off.

Well, when it come to video game franchises, there are those that may "seem" to hit that needs to die point here and there with a bad release in the series. However, some just don't die.

Pokemon is perhaps a great example of not dying. However, the big problem with it "needing to end" may be a misunderstanding as to why it lives on. When it was first released, it appealed to a generation. The problem with kids in the target age group? They grow up! So while it seems fair to say the whole thing should jump off a cliff because it's beating a dead horse, it could also be said that the newer releases aren't meant for the same people that played the first.

So anyways, let's throw out some NEW names in franchises, shall we?
(Please Note: Not all of these are ones I feel need to end, just the ones I can think of off-hand and some have been dead awhile)
-Resident Evil
-Silent Hill
-Spyro
-Crash Bandicoot
-Metal Gear Solid
-Halo
-Grand Theft Auto
-Super Mario
-Legend of Zelda
-Jak
-God of War
-Metroid
-Gran Turismo
-Need for Speed
-Mortal Kombat
-CoD
-Tom Clancy series
-Guantlet

And probably a bunch more I forgot. One of the biggest challenges with keeping a series going, however, is in how you present the content from one game to another.

Usually the way that works best in my opinion is to treat it like a good novel series. The characters and controls remain constant but each journey is a unique part of the larger whole.

Although, not every game can boast a storyline, or even need one. The appeal of games like Mortal Kombat is the pure draw of just ummeling someone to a pulp. There's really no way to add a story and even if there was, who would care? So all that can be offered in cases such as that is introducing some new faces, improving the graphics, and overall just adding more polish than the last one.

in my personal opion i think tomb raider has out stayed it's welcome and one that has gone on far to long

being as the last tomb raider they said would be there last <_< but surpise surpise there is another one comeing out 5th of october ((englamd relase))

i didnt really enjoy the first PS1 nore any that followed right up till PS3 XBOX 360

another one i didnt enjoy is fifa i mean come on really how many football games can you make <_< all right all right yeah i know they are always getting new players and players leaveing so they have to acompany that but seriously to many

and the last one well the sims i wont even go into detail just look in ya local game/pc shop <_<
