No offense to those in Italy of course.

But...
I was reading these articles in the news about Six Scientists in Italy got convicted of murder because they can't predict earth quakes accurately.

This is just rather disturbing news and I fear for those who live in Italy. If that is the court system they have and the type of politics/government its a real shame.

Just imagine if you were a scientist, you'd be afraid to give any opinion or even a hint of information that may have a chance of failure. I would definitely not want to work in their Disaster Department.

Geez, seismology is not a precise science and its not like you can accurately predict when an earthquake can occur. That form of justice is etchy at best.
