| I'm no fan of MLP, but only because its not really for my age group. Still, I won't condemn it either because I have not seen it. | | _________________

| I'm with Rune. But then again, I'm just not into the whole rainbows and horses thing. I grew up on Metallica and violent video games (Halo, James Bond, Legend of Zelda, etc.). Girl-ish stuff just don't work for me. (No offense to mlp fans)
But what I see as far as this show is 2 major things and 1 big question.
 1. From horses to school girls, how will this stay true to the franchise. Soon enough they'll all be whining about boys and pms. So, wtf?!...

 2. I understand keeping skin colors so you can tell who is who, but why has no one taken these kids to see a doctor? Blue, pink, and purple skin doesn't equal fine in reality. Granted its a tv show, but still...

 And my big question...

What sparked the idea for this in the first place?!

| Cartoons can be for everyone, everyone got different taste
 same with video games

I still like toys and cartoon stuff
but it depends what the angle is
if it's good or bad story or designs

but this... well if it not like Brats
or other school preppy cliche "girly" thing
it might be good for girls

I don't want to call myself a critic but watching cartoons
that isn't for my age, i'm just curious what today's generation
cartoons or shows are and if they're any good.

like the new Nick TMNT... it's not bad but not good either,
to me it's ok with a few interesting episodes but alot of logic nitpicks.

I never watch or got the channel for new MLP shows
the only thing I can say is... it looked up a few clips and episodes of it... it's better... even more then the 80's version let say that.

oh new Thundercats isn't that bad either funny tho it plays on Toonami
 only at late times tho.

Well that's Hasbro's decision, as a business, it has to kick out the loyal fans and concentrate the franchise on the true audience, little girls. Lauren Faust the creator of the show had left since Season 1, and now they are going to tear her dream apart.
