(Not sure if this thread would have a strong conversation, but I will give it a try. Smile)

I am awfully curious and intrigued on how the authority of BonBon takes care of any citizens who commits a crime and what's the punishment of it.

Does the city of BonBon have their own law or follows the law of the country it's located?

How they will different between sex and sexually assault/abuse?

How do authority treat the prisoner?

How the male and female are treated when they are in questions/suspicious?

Do they use a Judge or a higher position (Like Royal; such as Princess Betty)?

How the law choose to be on Jury Duty? Or do they have one?

I would like to suggest to Ms. Vanessa one of the future Issue, she could show/tell about the conditions inside the court of law.

What do you think?

Edit: I've just notices now that this forum does not allow the "R-word"
I apologies.

I am aware of the main sacred rules of BonBon; regrettably not word to word.

I've wondered what will happen when a BonBon citizen(s) abuses the rules and reports to the higher up.

BonBon is obviously a wonderful place to live in and/or get away from past hard time. Is, as well, a good place to go in hiding until the storm blows away for them (Ex: William Green)

I'm sorry to think this way, but with such a telling of the story Ms. Vanessa has portrayed, there has hardly been ill intentions between any of the residents.

Even then, where the personality grey areas are, its easy to simply portray one's more positive side rather than their darker history.

That is probably why the first and only law exists, to make sure people can be more content with the present and the outlook of their futures, rather than the shadows of their past.

I was mostly referring to the outer circle of the plot Ms. Vanessa's is portraying. I have no intentions of suggesting to her those kind event into the story we are focusing, now. I apologies for being unclear. ^^!

But remember, those whom we know/social with and those we rarely or do not mingle with, all have different thoughts and view of their surroundings. Maybe, at rare times, few dark memories will come back to haunt us until we gain the mental/emotion strength to not let the darkness gets the better of us. What will happen when few of the citizens gives in to the darkness and make plan to do bad deed to the city. We do have authority for a reason; not just keeping the peace in a common place such as the Delight Castle/Casino, but keeping the streets and the citizens safe as well from others with possibly the intentions to do minor and/or major event.

There is some level of crime in Bon Bon. I mean, look at Randy, he's a thief and makes his way here in Bon Bon. There were the terrible relatives of young Betty who mistreated her and forced her to work when she was a child.

The double edged sword of the first rule of Bon Bon means that you'll have those with a more sinister nature keeping to the shadows. Personally, I don't think there is too much of a shadow, as there are many folks in Bon Bon with a wild variety of appetites. So, if you have a bizarre inkling/fetish you're hoping to indulge, chances are there is someone to facilitate the need.

Otherwise, Exile seems the capital punishment. Perhaps the local police take wrong doers and suspects to neighboring cities. Exiling them to seek out punishment of other locals and be rid of them to keep the town in good standing condition. The Bon Bon patrols are volunteers, right? Unless that was a select group Namathet was part of.
