I heard it's finally on dvd
even with it's Japanese set that is sold separately I believe

up to 8 dvd's as there were 54 episodes
funny thing in the vid was, it said the original creaters like the abridged version
as the show wasn't famous in Japan.
It was odd a non popular anime from Japan being ported to the USA
as that sounded odd idea to do.
People got the villain "Big Cheese" wrong thinking and mistaking him for a rat
when originally he is a "sly" fox.
"Big Cheese" I think was bi or gay as he loves to cross-dress
Some episodes of the dubbed version were never aired in the United States for censorship reasons
mostly they were PG or PG 13 rated feel,
maybe kinda odd back then to try
airing that on a kids channel
If I remember I heard the word "sexy" on the show, back then
and Cheese wearing sexy lingerie and lookin himself in front of a mirror
and flirting with male subordinates in other episodes,
maybe that's why those were never seen.
(how could I have seen these episodes when they could've been banned, you ask?
I might been lucky seeing it the first time mistakenly before it was)
I kinda like the show back then but it been over like years 12
since I watched it,
I might try to hunt the dvd down. |
