Bah, I don't read German as well as I speak it, but I'll give it my best shot...
Helly Alley,
How are you doing?
I've spent very long nights something, something, something...
Something, with my friends, something you with something, something, something.
Something, something, something.
All love,
Your something,
Makor.
Like I said, I can't read German very well... |

Hahaha! That was actually pretty cool! I studied some language for a while, so seeing how translations sometimes end up and trying to make sense of them is kind of fun for me |

Ok people. Because I have some extra time on my hands, and I had 5 years of German at school, the real translation:
Dear Alley,
how are you doing?
I haven't heard much of you for a long time.
It would make me very happy, when you would post some replies.
I miss our chats.
Lots of love
Your warrior (what ever that my be )
ps. it also helps to live in Holland. Germans are coming to Holland for summer holidays by the 1000's. And they dig holes in our beaches. What's up with that? |

So you come from Holland "someoneoutthere"?
You´re translation was actually right.
"Als mijn nederlands zeer slecht is, wordt ik het weer met de engelse taal probeeren..."
By the way: Now we got our translation, but we still couldn´t find it´s meaning...
love

Hi Danielle. Yes, I am from Holland. How come that you can speak Dutch? Got a parent who's Dutch maybe (like Martina Warren. She can speak a little Dutch too, which is so cool!). Love to hear from you again.
Love right back at ya.
Call me Peter. |

Hello Peter, prettig met je kennis te maken!
No, actually all my ancestors come from Germany. It´s just that I spent lots of my youth in the Netherlands, in Zeeuws Vlaanderen, to be precise (did I spell that in a correct way?) Anyway, my parents own a house there. And so I have been there very often when I was a kid. And: There are so many people, who come from Germany to Holland who just expect Dutch people to speak German (which is quite unfair and arrogant!) that I am trying to turn that around a bit. Actually I am learning right now...
greetz,
Danielle |

Cool. Zeeuws Vlaanderen is correct. Germans dig the most holes there as a matter of fact lol..... Please forgive my bad joke.
Ah well, Dutch people are used to that, speaking other languages. Our school system is build on that principle. English is a mandatory study at "high school" (12 to 16 or 18 year old kids). They now start giving english at younger ages as well. Imagine that. I did German in high school, and I also had 4 years of French, which I hated (but it was mandatory!). But French sounds good...... voulez vous couchez avec moi Danielle?
Is there some way we can exchange e-mail addresses? If you like. I know that posting e-mail address is forbidden, so don't do that, it gets taken out by the moderators.
Take care.
ps. En het is ook prettig om kennis te maken met jouw! |
