At only 87 f (30.5C)
I have opened my windows and turned off my a/c for the first time in months. Recently it hasnt even got under 95F at nights  |

It can't be worse than an English summer. This morning it felt like autumn had come 6 weeks early. It was cold and misty and there was dew all over the car.
Sunday night driving down it was bucketting down with rain the whole way.
Another night I went for a sleep, then woke up to go down the pub and there was fog and it was pitch black at 20:00.
And there was a tornado that damaged a lot of houses in Manchester and in Birmingham there was a "funnel" which didnt quite get to ground level. |

Hmm doesnt sound very good right now in the UK.
Its monsoon season here. And last year monsoon season meant nothing really, and we just had a couple of thunderstorms all summer. This year we have had it almost everynight. Last night was really scary, it sounded like a war was going on outside, and we also had quite a few inchs of rain in the space of a few hours. Charlie wasnt very happy about it. I open the backdoor so i could see what was going on outside, and Charlie went running out like he was going to attack something, but as soon as the heavy rain hit him, i have never seen him run so fast back |

| It has finally cooled off a bit here in the South, too. High today 89F and the humidity was only 79% (only)! |

I've always thought it strange that an 85F degree day after a week of 90-100+ temps feels a lot better than an 85F degree day after a week of 70-80F.

Thats very true. I suppose your body almost gets used to a certain temperature and when it changes quickly its quite a shock

It's about 20 degrees celcius now. Lots of rain, so not much chance to organise a decent BBQ.  |

Im sorry to hear that. I remember once as a kid, we were havng a BBQ and it started to rain so we moved everything in to the Garage. It was actually very nice  |

Hope he doesn't take it out on you... Did the scratches heal already?
Thunderstorms can be really cool though. Good to hear the temperature dropped. It must be easier to sleep now. Just hope the thunder doesn't wake you.

I'm actually in Nashville this morning on my way to South Carolina for my sister's wedding this weekend. It is quite warm and muggy here in Nashville already.
I've never experienced the "dry" heat of Arizona. Do you really feel a difference between the high humidity of the midwest versus the "dry" heat of Arizona? Seems to me a 100 degrees is just plain hot, dry or not!

Oh Cool have fun at your sisters wedding
Yes you really notice the difference between 100 F in dry or humid weather.
Here when it is 100 F it feels like its a 100 F, in humidity when its 100 F it feels much hotter. Plus in humidity it feels like you need a shower every 5 mins cause very quickly you get sticky and sweaty. You dont get that feeling in Arizona, its more like walking into a oven here rather then a sauna/greenhouse |

I used to go out to palm springs a lot to play golf in the summer. I think the weather there is exactly like the phoenix area. the inside of a car becomes hotter than an oven after sitting in the sun for a while in 110 or 115 degree heat. my friends graphite shafted clubs melted in the trunk. I need to drink a lot of water and gatorade out there and the sunburns can be intense. It’s fun though and the prices to play golf out there are cheaper in the summer. |

LOL...Yes the weather is pretty much the same. Its also much cheaper to play golf here in the summer, as its pretty intense
Sometimes i will go into a store here for like 5 mins, and leave a bottle of water in the car. By the time ive got back to the car the water is very warm |

it's definitely a little uncomfortable if you're not used to it. when i get in the car after a round of golf i have to keep the doors open for a while before i can get inside the car. then i'll have the ac on full blast and it just blows hot air for a while |
