| Back in 2000 in an effort to promote Alley Cat, Wizard Magazine advertised a "Win a Dream Date w/Alley Cat" contest in which the grand prize winner received a dream date with "Alley Cat" (A/K/A our very own Alley Baggett)!!! Wizard featured a two-page spread of Alley in her Alley Cat outfit and everything. The winner was chosen based on convincing Wizard (and Alley, I assume) in the most unique and creative way why they should be the one chosen for the dream date. My entry was me senting in a pic of me with a baseball player from the Charleston, WV Alleycats who was from Houston, TX (Alley's hometown) along with an obviously biased recommendation from the Alleycat (player) why Alley Cat (Alley) should pick me. I spent over $120 on photos, computer paper, packaging, and first-priority postage but a winner was never chosen. Did anybody else remember the contest and did they also enter? Does anybody even know why Wizard dropped the contest? I was 210% SURE I had won!!! |
