Thanks Marcus. I just got back from the doctors. I had my 2nd antibiotic shot, this time in my right arm, so its hard to type as the shot really gives your arm a heavy cramping feeling.

The swelling on my face has gone down a little so i can now open my right eye now slightly.

Anyways i have been doing what the doctor says, cutting down on cigarettes, and no drinking.

Anyways im going to go back to bed now, ill chat to you guys later..........

Ok heres my daily update lol

I just got back from the doctors again, even though my swelling has gone down, my eyes are not improving. So the doctor has made me an appointment tomorrow morning at the hospital to see a eye specialist doctor

Ill let you know how that goes.............

The eye specialist will probably put you on different antibiotics. Please keep doing whatever the doctors say Confused

I went to the hospital this morning, and saw the specialist. Apparantly my eyes are like this due a virus and not a bacterial infection like they originally thought. Its nothing too serious which is great. I cant wait to beable to be back to normal though! But apparantly it could still take a couple of weeks! So they took me off the antibiotics (Yay, means i can have a drink now Wink

) and put me on to steroids LOL So next time you guys see me im gonna have grown some muscles Laughing

Anyways im just trying to rest now and get my eyes back to normal. But unless it gets much worse i dont have to go back to the doctor for another couple of weeks Very Happy

That's great news, Martina! A virus is more easily treatable than a bacterial infection. But it's still nothing to be trifled with. Please get plenty of rest and...

Glad you are feeling a little bit better. I didn't know that pink eye/conjuctivitis could be that severe. That really sounds awful. While you give your eyes time to recover, I like Wally's idea of listening to music, lots and lots of music, Ipod, radio, etc. That's the only relaxing activity I can think of that doesn't involve using your eyes.

I always say that the best medicine is chocolate! Take it easy for the next few days, get plenty of rest and you'll be all better in no time!

Damn i just read this on a website

Yes Marcus, they are, if not worse. This is kinda how my eye lid looked, but mine were even redder, and then imagine that with lots of facial swelling

My right eye you can still barely see the white in it Confused

It does make my eyes look very green though Wink

Yikes! That looks painful. Plus it is just plain cruel to not be able to scratch/rub something that itches. Talk about agonizing, you just have to fight every impulse to scratch.

At least the swelling has subsided. I bet the before picture would have looked like you went a few rounds in a boxing match Shocked

Cold compresses are a good suggestion.

All things considered, it sounds like things are improving, much too slowly for you I'm sure, but still. And no horns sprouted so you're in good shape Evil or Very Mad

I hope i get better soon too, but there hasnt been much improvement in recent days. Just wish my eye sight would come back, and my eyelashes would stop falling out! Confused
