So...I was curious, Vanessa. You've shed a little light on characters like Daphne, and of course Betty, William, Mary, and a fair few others... I'd be curious to know a bit more about Shania's background. What brought her to BonBon? I don't recall seeing her in the comic thus far. I imagine you have a plan for her and others of course. Just wanted to know more about her other than the fact that she's an Indian tigress and exotic dancer. Anything else about her that we might learn at this point? Inquiring minds want to know. Curious

Just because you are the first and only one to pose the inquiry, Nightwolf, doe'nt mean you are the only inquiring mind that wants to know. I'm rather curious myself but I never got the "oomph", so to speak, to pose the question. I wonder why, I usually ask a question when I'm curious. Well, that's beside the point, you all can ignore that one if you wish.

Currently Shania's background is a story that I'm writing for a future short comic. Simply put, a rich indian prince arrives in Bon Bon with an escort (maybe Avery Caldwell is part of the Royal Guard!) and handmaidens, including dancers and entertainers, to live the experience of Bon Bon. In the Victorian period India and England lived close relationships and commercial and cultural exchanges. After living happy days, satisfied, the prince decides to take with him a souvenir... a girl from the Delight Castle! Betty tries to explain to the prince that his wish isn't acceptable unless one of the girls decided willingly to make a cultural exchange with one of the handmaidens! Therefore, one of the girls, that fell in love with the prince, and Shania, that wanted to live in the western lands, decide to swap their lives around!
Does this sound like an interesting story to you?

Speaking of characters Vanessa, I was scanning through for more faces to use in my sketches (Cause I plan to have one of everyone by the end of all this) and that cute pink haired canine with Maggie caught my eye.

Anything you can tell me on her, or is she just standard fill? Just curious.

Didn't anyone notice that that girl is an homage to one of my favorite characters? Think about the eighties... and about a little girl (me) that goes nuts for the gadgets of a sweet little cocker that wears a heart-marked collar and raybans balanced over the ears and that when she walks leaves pink stamps in place of pawprints... Curious

she was the first furry in my heart! Very Happy

Later I collected My Little Ponies and Popples, but that's another story entirely...

I'm afraid I'll be no help here, I was far to young in the 80's to notice or remember anything of the sort, but I will look forward to how this turns out.

Wow, I was watching my fair share of cartoons in the 80's, but even I'm sort of stumped by this one, though it sounds kind of familiar...

My sister also had My Little Ponies, though only one Popple. There was a while, though, where she collected Pound Puppies (and the cat versions, Pound Purries)... I was more into He-Man and TMNT back in the day...

Okay, I'm still frustrated over figuring out who the character Vanessa mentioned was... the description sounds so familiar that I'm almost positive I've seen it before, more than likely years and years ago, but my brain just won't "connect the dots" so to speak...
