Electrician, eh? Pretty unique and highly sought-out occupation around this time in history. I wonder with side of the so-called "War of the Currents" your character would have sided with: Edison or Westinghouse and Tesla?

One point of contention: Your character is noted as studying taekwondo, but from what I know of the history of that style it developed more in modern times. Though based on older Korean fighting styles, it has some influences from Japanese karate, likely a result from the lengthy occupation of Korea by Japan during the first part of the 20th century. If your character was trained in a form of Korean martial art, it probably wouldn't yet be called "taekwondo" in 1895. (of course, our resident martial arts expert Desertwolf is more than welcome to correct me on any information I may have gotten wrong about this style).

No you pretty much got it right Johnny save for the fact that its make-up history is still being debated in Korea.Part of the people are for the older Korean martial arts like subak and Taekkyon the other half subscribe to the Chinese/Japanese influence and thus the debate continues.Taekwondo itself was not introduced until the 1950's and even then it was only practiced by the Korean Army.
