I just thought I'd give advanced warning that from next week I may not be here for a month or so, and may not be here between now and then either. The reason for this is that, finally, after months of waiting (I made an offer, and it was accepted, back in March), I will be moving home next Monday (24th August). I will be busy preparing this week, so I may not get round to coming here, and then I have to wait for my broadband to be transferred once I move; they say that it may take 7-14 days to connect my phone line, and then another 2-4 weeks for my broadband. I hope it doesn't take nearly as long as that, but it might. I am optimistic, though, as they connected me initially about a month faster than they said it might take. I may be able to use the internet elsewhere in the meantime, such as at work, but unlikely that I'll be able to visit here.

So, today may be the last time you hear from me until around October, or it may not be. I hope it's the latter. Be that as it may, however long it is I'm away from here, I'll miss you all. Take care and have fun!

Dang, and just when we were starting to get into some intellectual conversations, lol. I'm sure that your return cannot arrive soon enough.

Wow, as a kid I had to carry all my own boxes. And we moved a LOT. It sucked.

Only in the last 7-10 years have I managed to stay in a single place for more than a year and a half tops... and I'm still moving around (my record is, I think 3.5 years, might have made 4.) My move to Florida was just over a year ago, and it's back to California in a few months, if the plan plays out.

Why do you move around so much?

As a kid, it was the usual story - parents had to follow the work.

When I got older, it was just habit, I think. I get restless if I stay put too long. Wink

Heh. It was not unusual for me to start a grade at one school and finish in another. On the plus side, I got a lot of exposure to different teaching techniques and strange combinations of education. I also got to completely bypass dissecting frogs (first school it was later, second school it was earlier).

I remember one year in English due to a move I had to do a module on Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew" twice. What made this one particularly interesting was that both teachers showed the same movie adaptation as part of the introduction, but had completely opposite opinions of the lead actress. One thought she was fantastic, the other thought her a ridiculous over-actress. On the downside, I missed out on Hamlet. Wink

Be glad you could, though. Till towards the end of high school, I rarely had more than one friend in any town. Tricky skill, that, especially when you're quiet like I always was. :/ Takes me a long time to start talking.

Mm, mattress, I'm overly shy. ANd short. And cute. But still. Most people would come over and start talking to me, not me to them. But oh well.

And I tottally forgot that he wouldn't get the creme...inside joke people.

Ah... it all shapes us into who we are today... and today shapes tommorrow, and more than that, well.. that's getting all philosophical and stuff, a little out of my league really.

But hey. I still remain cute, little, and busty.

I mean seriously, I'm all of what, 4'9"?
People think I'm either a really short highschooler, or a really large-chested twelve year old.

God-fucking-dammit. I hate being so short. *pouts*
