I would just like to go on record and say that I deeply resent you for creating this thread for the sole reason that you have drawn my attention back to the fact that this game is going to be amazing and it's not out yet. Thank you. Carry on.

I beat prototye but that kinda lost its interest too towards the end. Not to ruin it for anyone who didnt play it just the way the game was ending... seemed like they got lazy.

Definitely felt like that. Still, overall, I gotta say I thought it was a pretty good game.

Oh yea, going about with crazy moves and destroying city streets was fun for gameplay. Just story wise was "bleh". @_@

haha, yea. i was going to say, its no Ocarina of Time (in terms of story), or anything along those lines, but still being able to drop tens of stories and hammerfisting cars into mini-craters is fun, to say the least.

I already have Prototype and have beaten it twice, thank you. I thought it was a very good game, but the story could have been better. Stretch out the Elizibeth Greene angle and add a trip to Hope, Idaho as the last level and it would have been much better, in my opinion. And yes, xivk, I actually enjoyed the first Assassin's Creed. It was a main reason behind my getting a PS3 and is one of the best games I have ever played.

so that's why Prototype kicks ass. haven't beaten it yet, not too hard, just haven't gotten round to playing it more.

first AC was really really good. i admit it was slow, but i wouldn't go as far as saying it was boring. it's one of those games where you need to have the patience to play it fully, kinda like EVE. i loved the combat, it was easy to handle but not to the point where it was pointless, like Okami, you always had control and it was not frustratingly hard but if you got over confident and screwed up, it was still dangerous. it's nice when people make games that are tough to play but not to the point that make you want to wring the creator's neck because it's next to impossible to play, even on the easiest of levels.

But you guys didnt get bored doing the same thing over and over? Every memory block was scan the towers, assassinate some guy, beat up some guy, do soem flag run thingy, and kill the main guy. Then next block was the same.

not really. there were only a couple of each thing to do in each block so it didn't get too repetitive before i got too the main event. plus i usually can be a little bit of a perfectionist sometimes so i actively sought out all the little missions and vantage points and such. i had a ball climbing over next to anything. hope they teach him to swim in 2

Yea, I mean it can get a little repetitive, but I dunno, most games tend to be a little repetitive. Go to this location, or kill this guy, steal this thing. How much can you have an assassin do in the 12th century? I mean his entire job description is kill people. I was just glad that they found a new angle with which to portray the entire game.

Finally, the time has come. Assassin's Creed II was released today and, barring a few graphic differences that are to be expected, I'm thoroughly enjoying it. For those of you with a PSP, or access to one, I highly suggest getting Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines. When linked to the PS3, you can use play data from either game to unlock special content in the other. I won't say what right now so as not to spoil it, but I will say it is most definatly worth it, in my opinion.
