I've decided that as an artist, I can't pull off what I would like to do to capture Samuel properly. So, I resorted to screen captures of my IMVU avatar. Since IMVU's catalog features try before you buy, I could possibly do similar works for anyone else interested.
My signature, as some have noticed, has a picture that's pretty close to what I would want for Samuel. I will point out now that there are some restrictions to what I can do with IMVU. It is all based off of the content available and some things might be harder to come by than others.
For example, I started working on an avatar for Henk, just for laughs. The problem was the head. It was too dis proportioned to the rest of the body, or at least for the cobra head models available. They did not have any sort of regular flaps to add to the side. I could try something with facial fins and see if it works, but I'm doubtful.
I'm doubtful I can do female stuff without having a female avatar. I'll look into it if anyone really wants it, though. |

Ok, got this together:

Stock of revolvers is a little limited and although you can't really see it, that sword is really long. The hair also has a ponytail in back. |

It's not like I'm creating an entire 3D model from scratch. If you ever sign up with IMVU, you will see that they have a vast catalog of products. |

You might think that, but...

Took some liberties with a few choices, such as the highlights with the hair (I just felt it went well with the fur). I'm open to tweaking, so if you think something should be changed, let me know and I'll see what I can do. |

If anyone's avatar was going to be difficult, it was going to be yours, Henk. Reptillian skin wasn't even the issue, it was the cobra's frills that are difficult. To get any better, I would need help developing textures to make new products.
Here's my best effort at it:

I'm not too happy with it. I wanted to get more than just green, but as I said, I'm limited to what's in the catalog and scalies aren't as popular as furs. |

D-d-d-d-double post!
I haven't seen my good friend Marx around for awhile. Since he's been a good friend, I could not in good conscience leave him out. So I present my interpretation of Marx Emanuel:

EDIT: Decided to take another crack at Link, now with a different hairstyle and dichromatic eyes.

Not sure if that one's possible. More or less because I'm not 100% sure of the rules with all the sites used. Not to turn down a challenge, but I prefer the old adage "Better safe than sorry".
Moving along, I would like to present Tania. A blend of some actual choices of my wife and a few of my own little touches.

Well, those certainly turned out better than I was expecting. (being an IMVU user myself, I know the limitations of the catalog) Very well done, Twisted. |

Why, thank you, Ashton. I took the liberty of putting together an ensemble for your avatar as well. Also, feel free to look me up, I use the same username, though without the underscore.

I gave it a shot. Not sure if I could have found quite the jacket you were looking for, but I'm open to revision.

Perhaps this one is more to your liking? I couldn't find upright ears that matched well enough, but figured I could go for a more inclusive shot with the loppy ones. |

Hmmm, you probably shouldn't have posted, as I was inspired to take on a challenge:

Though far from the quality one can rely on from our dear Vanessa, I think it came out alright for all the limitations posed by IMVU's catalog. |

Well, some species are more popular than others, so it's no real surprise that the availability of products for less common fursona species are more rare.
Because this has started to become too much fun to wait for requests, I decided to take a crack at a one Ernest Living (chaosengine)

I am struck with an idea. Rather than limit what I make based off of what the catalog has to offer, why not get into making the products I want to use? There is of course a major problem with doing this. Anything I make would be based off of or inspired from content here at PBB and I could not in good conscious proceed with doing such without approval from the staff. I still don't know enough with the modeling to worry about this too much at the moment, but it does give me a few ideas.
1. A full array of PBB products available on IMVU can net some extra $$$ for the site.
2. If we would make products for IMVU, we could possibly setup some private chat rooms exclusively for members of the PBB site.
3. Exposing the furry community of IMVU to PBB may yield some new members. |

IMVU. It's essentially a 3D chat room. In order to make it more personal, they have a wide array of items to customize your avatar with. All of these 3D models that I have come up with have so far been generated with items from the catalog. If I could, I'd like to come up with unique items specifically relating to PBB, but there is a lot of work involved that I'm unfamiliar with. I know a bit about 3DS MAX, but not quite enough to make my own products quite yet. There also issues with copyrights and profits, as it is possible as a creator to make a profit. |
