In all honesty, I've really known for awhile that I wanted to get a small bit of surgery done. What for? Well, to get rid of something that has been annoying me for over 2 years now. A lypoma in my left forearm. For those of you who are not familiar with the term, it is essentially a tumor made entirely of fatty tissue, a fat lump if you would. No real threats to my health, but lately I've had periodic fits of slight numbing of the lower part of my left arm, starting around where the lypoma is. Then there's just the annoyance of having a little almond like lump popping up from my inner forearm.
I suppose the biggest obstacle in my way so far is the unknown price of the procedure mixed with a tight budget. My wife's Celica still needs a new engine and we've already put that off for a year, so hard to say for sure. I'll tell you this much, this thing is really starting to piss me off.
More than the lypoma's existence is the fear of what may come. My father has had several of them throught the course of my life, many of them the size of golf balls. Figures that out of all his sons, it's the youngest and skinniest that gets the first one. I just hope this is the only one I ever have to see... |

That's too bad. I used to have a mole and I got rid of it, but that's about it. If it's not too costly yo should go for it, I think there's a wiki on the treatment but I'm not sure. |

It's not really life-threatening. The Navy, health nuts that they are, wouldn't even touch it because they didn't consider it a problem.
To give a better illustration of what I'm talking about:
