Well first off,the Shaolin monks castrate young boys(avg. age is between 4-7).Adults who come to the Temple later in life are exempt.
Secondly,you're not a Buddhist and a foreigner so it doesn't apply to you.
Lastly, the singing voice is called "castrato" which was used to replace soprano and alto in male choirs.Today,the countertenor is used. |
