I am surprised that anybody found Mary's dress unappealing when she is obviously around her father who is borderline-psychotic in terms of how overprotective he is. Mary dresses fairly risque when she goes to sleep, but she has always dressed in a reasonably conservative manner when she's in polite company. If you look at all the issues, she's always done this.
As for the last page in Issue 8, I'm more curious than ever to see what will happen to Red. While it is a given that William and Mary will get together, it'll be interesting to see how the plot will twist to get this to happen. Personally, I would not mind a bold, shocking plot line, like Mary actually marrying Red, and then Betty becomes the Other Woman in the relationship, thus adding elements of scandal and corruption.
I'm personally amazed that William/Wilson hasn't lost his mind yet. This is a guy who "pitched a tent" just from smelling Mary's hand, but somehow he can remain in gay persona since that time. I'm guessing that he's spending a lot of time in the bathroom by himself since Violet isn't exactly stopping by to give a hand. Pun intended! |

scold yeah right she has just been surprised, romanced and proposed to in like the space of a couple of minutes and we all know how horny she is, my god i'm surprised she hasn't lost control and dragged red to her room yet
as for red i gotta say this guy really has his priorities mixed he's in love with Betty but marrying Mary because it was his fathers dying wish i mean come on its not like his father is going to know or anything why would he care, or as my grandfather said on his death bed when asked if he had any last wishes "what good will they do I'm hardly going to use them |

and yes...will's face on frame 3 is hillarious, its like he gets hit with all of confusion plot

I realize that this is a little off-topic, but I went back to issue 1 and I still can't get over how funny William's expression is when Loucille offers him company. I mean, the way he holds his briefcase. It's absolutely priceless.
More on topic: It is a beautifully drawn page. I love Williams face in that third frame. You gotta wonder what is running through his head as soon as he hears that Red is still Mary's fiance. |

| well to be fair we did, we just finished the job it was withered and dieing and we put it out of its misery, personally i still hold dear to the ideals of honor and pride but even they have been abused |

i agree, a woman should be treated right and respected. but that doesn't mean we can't want to put her over a table and stuff her from behind... besides, some like it that way |
