It will start off with some character interaction, and then splinter off into individual storylines. I may also occasionally introduce meetings for further character interaction, but the majority of posts should be more individual stories.

The reasoning is that the Order isn't very big on excessive interaction between members outside of meetings, which alternate the members attending so as to avoid suspicion.

The RP will start January 2, 2010 so as to hopefully avoid too much absences from holiday visits, etc. At that point, the posting order will take effect and the rule will be 24 hours to post. The ONLY exception to the posting order will be via myself, and will likely only be done using The Mask or The Aristocrat.

There are to be no OOC/OOG comments in the RP thread, that's what this one is for. After starting, if someone wants to join, that's fine with me, as the Order would be recruiting. They would have to be accepting the terms mentioned and wait to be inserted into the posting order.

As there will be individual storylines most of the time, and Henk is one of the members, NO GRATUITOUS (excessive) AMOUNTS OF SEX SCENES! You will have a job to do and blessing the swords in the sacred chalice is a distraction.

I didn't say that there wouldn't be any, I'm just trying to avoid having one in every post. Then again, I don't know that you've really had a good chance to see Henk in his prime.

Ok, so now that I have a basic infrastructure set up for the Dark Order, I'm open to discuss any/all character revisions here.

And I'm still open for more participants if anyone may have overlooked this. The death stipulation is now a little bit more loose, since I have some extra ways to get around that. Also, not everyone that joins would necessarily have to be an assassin.

i like the sounds of the order of blades brute forse is kinda hunter's specialty.

but then the order of blood is also another one of his specialty's as he cares about no one.

but i fully understand if it is your choice what order they go in.

I'd say Blades, only because it's more of a sadistic bloodlust that puts a person in Bloods. A good example would be the Tremors from Smokin' Aces, crazy as all hell kamikaze-style. Of course, they have enough discipline to come out alive. Debating on changing the Blood leader's name from Heiter to Blutrot, which pretty much translates to Blood Red.

Ok, time to post again for two reasons: 1) Remind everyone the RP will be starting in a few days, so if you need to drop out, a little heads up would be appreciated. 2) To eloborate a bit more on the background of the two other branches of the Order and some more background on their leaders.

When the babe was left at the old German church, none of the nuns would have predicted the horror that would emerge from the bundle. The red iguana from a very young age exhibited violent tendencies and it wasn't long before the behavior drew the attention of a group in need of such skills. The then younger raccoon recruited the young lizard child to be part of his order. Soon, he realized that the child had such bloodlust that he was too much of a risk. Still, he had done nothing to warrant an execution. Confused and conflicted, he took the quandary to the higher-ups. It wasn't exactly common practice to consult with higher authorities, but at times it would sometimes be deemed necessary. When the black robed figures came and took the young one away, the Mask could think only of execution, promotion was never what he envisioned. The Unseen had seen a new potential for the kind of psychopathic need to kill, and so formed the Order of Blood and gave the young lizard the only name he would ever use: Blutrot. The tactics never left survivors, or if it did, they wouldn't live long enough to tell what happened.

The Order of Shadows is perhaps the oldest branch of the Dark Order, but the Order of Blades is arguably older. The reason for such controversy comes from the fact that the Order of Blades had already existed outside of the Dark Order. The Shieldbreakers were a band of mercenaries with a tendency towards excessive violence and brutality. It wasn't altogether unexpected, though, considering the founding members were descended from Vikings, and the berserker traditions carried on. Despite repeated outcry from the other members, the head of order for the blades has always been of the old Norse lineage. The current head of order is no exception. Ram had earned his name from his earlier brutality with blunt weapons, being known as the furson to hit with the strength of a battering ram. When he ascended to head of order, however, he inherited the Axe of Fathers. The actual axe of fathers is not suitable for combat conditions and is never carried into battle, however, for each new bearer, a new replica is made, one that can be carried into battle. The blades also are changed as the bearer changes, for a new section of the symbolic carving is added with each new bearer. The meaning of the old symbols seems only known to those who wield it, for there are are few who still understand the language.

Sweet delicious triple post,. but this one's important.

The first post for the RP is up. I haven't heard any request to withdraw, so we will move on with the Rp as scheduled.

For those that will become part of other Orders, please let me know which you would prefer to be transferred to, as the meeting with which our RP begins will discuss such transfers and subsequently reassign you out of the Order of Shadows.

Henk will be next, followed by grlover. Order for posting is on the first page of this thread, currently I do not have a time restriction for posting, but I am leaning towards a 48-hour window for a first post or a request to withdraw from the RP.
