That was the hard part, since the picture required me to use more than one type of color pencils lol. I normally just use one type, which is blue. |

Practice makes perfect, Mr. Rune!
Anyone who has the will for success will go far, and you have more than enough to go beyond that Mr Rune! |

I appreciate the optimism, i don't believe I have what it takes to go that far. School takes a priority and I made that during what little free time i had. |

Don't worry time moves on its own. It doesn't matter if one have a few minutes as long as one has time to do what he likes!
Besides you don't need to become the most skilled of artists from one day to another, so take as much time as you need Mr Rune! |

Again, a new pic. I only just caught the mistake with the eyes. Like I said before, I'm horrible with those. |

((Rune174, I've been meaning to ask you... why don't you draw yourself? I mean, the waiting list for the Royals is pretty darn long... so... wouldn't it be better if you just drew yourself?
Then you could play with yourself too... um... you know what I mean.)) |

Well, I would draw myself, I just do it for fun, but when it comes to drawing for....... professional means or when it comes to coloring, I tend to suck big time. As you can see, i am only good with using one color in general in order to get the general outline done. The only reason I did ok with the Windy Maiden was because All I had to do was use some Black color pencil markings which made it look a little better.
As for playing with myself, I can't do anything outside of a few basic poses. |

((Well, I say challenge yourself. You've already accomplished, "The Pose"... try for something dynamic. Like two of your characters twirling in a dance or something...
...or riding a bike...
...or swimming...
Quit being such a pansy about what you can and cannot draw. Caroline's-Real-World-Avatar storytime. I paint mininatures for Warhammer, 40k, and other systems. I've painted them for... geeze, 10+ years now... and wow do I feel really old now. Anyway, I remember the first thing I painted. Bretonnian Archers... and wow did my paint-job suck. I mean... wow, did they suck. But, I kept trying at it. I kept trying bolder colors... I kept trying to paint eyeballs and teeth... small decorations like ribbons or tatoos... And, I now even try to make minor-model adjustments... like adding bags, or chainging weapons. And you know what... my paint jobs and modeling sure aren't going to win me any prizes, but, to me, I think they look good. I can see how much I've improved from the first set, and I can even look back at my figs, and see which ones I painted before some of the others.
If I had just stuck with what I did with the archers, I wouldn't have a single model with eyes.
Point being, you can draw blue-line sketches. Why not something as simple as using the black-line trace on your blue-line? I know you can do it. Even if you blur and smear the crap out of everything, sometimes you just have to do that once to get the hutzpah to really try again. I can't count the number of times I painted eye-patches over guys because I couldn't get the eye correct. But, each "bad eye" I painted got me a bit closer to painting "good eyes".
So... there is your encouragement for the day.)) |

Keep up the great work. I drew some things lately aswell. Don't pressure yourself about the slightest thing though, I think it happens to every artists and drawer. |
