Normally, it's one of those holidays I forget. Particularly since my birthday comes six days before it which is far greater in my eyes. Honestly, which would be better? A day about forced romance and last minute chocolate and flower buying? Or a day all about me? Laughing

Of course, I'm also one of those people who is always single on Valentine's Day and a teeny bit resentful... Embarassed

i've never cared about valentine's day since my nan's bday is on the 12 my mums bday is the 13 and three of my friends bday's are on 15 16 17.

I dont like the commercial part of valentines day but i do like the romantic part you dont have to buy me any thing to keep me happy on vday

I'm afraid I too have never been too excited about Valentine's Day, likely due to the reason that I've never had anyone to really share it with. Though, the chocolate and seeing one of my favorite colors (red) everywhere is nice. And, since no one has answered the good Doktor's question yet, I'd say the latter option is the better. A day of forced romance and last minute chocolate and flower buying or a day all about the medical marvel that is Camarilla von Fuchs? I'd say the latter option is the obvious choice.

To me, I think Valentine's Day is one of the few holidays left that is still kinda true to what it was meant to celibrate. Relationships. You don't have to be romantically involved with anyone to have a good Valentine's Day. It's just a day where everyone gets to pretend they're princessess and knights-in-shining armor.

Yeah, I know... lame. I've spent a decent number of Valentine's Days alone; however, hope springs eternal.))

I don't mind Valentine's day, but i do mind that this day is almost being forced on the people of my country by stores and others, just like Halloween.
We have our own traditions and our dress-up party for kids is taking place in february.

Normaly i would agee with Ashton and the others becouse my cousen's birthday is the 12th, mine the 17, and my grampa's the 18. Also i have no one to be with... But this year is diffrent. Becouse this year i got some one to be with. ^^

I suppose that my situation places me out of sorts with the rest of you. At first, Valentine's Day would not have meant as much to me. In 2007, it was the day I went to boot camp. In 2008, though, it changed. February 14th 2008 is when I said "I do" to my wife. I remember the day well, windy and cold, but there was still a warmth to it that is simply irreplaceable. This year, it will be our 2-year anniversary. The best part for me is being on a Sunday means that we won't have to worry about classes messing with our anniversary.

I love Valentines day. Its the one day of the year I wake up extremely early to make some waffles and make a nuissance of myself for the family. Especially since I make it out to be the same day as Christmas.

Valentine's Day... Man, hearing that name makes me twitch in anger. I hate that holiday because whenever I see couples celebrate, it makes me think they do so just to mock singles like me.

If I had my way, every babbling baboon that said "Happy Valentine's Day" would be boiled in their own chocolate and buried with a stake of roses through the heart.

Guess I'll throw my two cents in. My town has a lot of couples, and when I say a lot I mean like 30 mobs full of people. Every time I go into the urban part of town on "that day" there are couples everywhere cuddling. Be it on a bench, a car or the wall. It sickens me. I'm all for what its about, but damnit people, don't make it a [word censored] holiday.
