Mmm.. I am far too late in responding, for that I must apologize. I spent real life away in Las Vegas for the weekend, including most of Valentine's Day. For the first time in some years, I did not even turn on a computer for several days.

Tursi, that would be awesome! We could totally ride on your riverboat, and play poker or something. For you, Tursi, I'd even wear my silver spurs I got in St. Louis.
But... Chaosengine did sort-of ask first. We'll I'm not sure if he asked or not... he tends to be all... hand-wringy nervous around me. Like I'm going to punch him in the stomach or something.
|
Caroline, thank you dearly for considering my offer. Certainly I never mean to take you from Chaos, he is a fantastic gentleman and one that has my respect. However, should you do have a free evening, I would love to sail with you.
I have seen the picture that came from this thread, and it is beautiful... fantastic work as always! |

Well, I did ask, but not having a face would make it difficult... if a pic of Caroline and Tursi would look good and make them happy, then by all means.
Don't mind me, I'm always around... somewhere... |

I was so darn surprised to see my fursona on the front page of the site, I just had to come in and say something!
As always, you do amazing work Miss Santato... I was especially thrilled to see you pair my character up with Daisy, who looks exceptionally lovely in this picture. And it's so nice to see Kommy and Ashton there as well, a sort of tri-fecta of long-running forum posters (my own recent absenses notwithstanding)...
Missed all of you guys, and promise to try and come back when I can... |

Good Lord in Heaven, our resident trickshooting former outlaw is back in town. Hide the silverware And just where have you been, cowboy? Out robbing covered wagons? |

It is a really sweet picture, I must say. Very warm and soft feeling. Made me smile and want to put on some violin music to listen to while I had a drink.
Nice to take a break from the ceaseless lust once in a while for old-fashioned romance. But I won't begrudge a return to older fashioned lust when it comes, either. |

I'm not sure what hurt more; that joke or the effort it took to decipher your terrible spelling just to understand the joke in the first place. |

Nonsense.. you deserve the attention far more than I do, my friend. It's my job to stay out of the way. |

I tried, but you wouldn't believe how hard it is to find covered wagons these days... Everyone's using the damn trains now! |

What? I'm sure he meant that your violin strings broke, and you'd have to sit down, and just enjoy the company of our resident sawbones.
Or, unless you think he meant that you'd play some chord incorrectly, and make your music sound like finger-nails being drawn across a chalkboard...
...or did you think he meant that someone else would come out with a fiddle, and the two of you would have an epic, string instrument duel, while John, Camarilla, and Daisy all danced to the music?
((...sorry, those sounded a lot funnier to myself when I said them aloud.))

Well... a train is sort of a covered wagon. A self propelled covered wagon, yes, but a covered wagon none-the-less.
Have you ever tried actually... working for a living, John? I mean, I'm sure I saw your "Wanted" poster up somewhere.
What about doing something honest like... being a dentist? |

Ashton is deeply hurt by any implication he may fall prey to lascivious behaviors. An unfortunate trait in a place like this, where such urges are tacitly assumed to be present in all here and in no inconsiderable quantity. It makes for the semi-regular conversational disconnects which I find intriguing.
Personally, I am quite curious what he intends to do after finishing his serenade and the meal. Speaking of curiosity, I'd very much like to know what he is playing, too.
Oh, and I can't see Johnny as a dentist. Putting in gold and silver rather than taking them out? Unnatural for an incorrigible outlaw. |

Only partially correct, dear Fraulein. I am deeply hurt by the insinuation that my asking you to dinner was in any way something other than just that: dinner. Furthermore, I shant even dignify Adept's slur against me with further comment, due to the near incomprehensionable nature in which it was made.
As for what I intend to do after finishing the serenade and meal, I intend to see you home safe and sound. And as to what I'm playing, I'll leave that to what I'm sure is your fully capable imagination. Remember, I do take requests, if you have a particular piece in mind.
Finally, I don't see what's so unfortunate about being able to resist falling prey to lascivious behaviors. I think it's important for at least one person to possess that ability and the amount of will required for it, and all the more so here. Though, I will admit, it is not without certain regrets. |

Turns out we were both wrong, Adept. "incomprehensible" is the correct way to spell it. I looked it up. Oh well, no one's perfect.
A slur is'nt so much a speech impediment as a slight mistake in speaking. It does certainly happen due to a speech impediment, though. Try saying a difficult word three times fast or just speaking quickly. A slur is when you fumble the word slightly. It is also an insult. For example: A slur against someone's name. A slur against one's opponent.
Finally, yes, I know you were joking. I was running with the joke. |
