a woman's bust size is difficult to determine hence the letters

when measuring a woman's bust size you take a measuring tape and go around the widest part of her bust ....when trying on a bra a woman determines their range by the width of their ribcage and then determines the letter size by how well the breasts fit in the cup

Huh? Why do you need this? All you need is a keen eye and a grasp of the bra size system and you can do quantitative measurements to your heart's content. Besides, giving everyone a 'ranking' is a sure way to stir up some acrimony. Razz

For those who don't know, the sizes are based on a combination of breast volume and body circumference. For example, the classic measurement of the 'ideal' woman is 36-24-36. Basically, it would take 36 inches (Imperial measurements) of string to wrap around her hips and chest at their widest points, but only 24 inches of string to go around her waist at the narrowest. For bras, the cup size modifies this as an estimate of how much space the breasts take up. A woman who needed a 36A might be kind of barrel chested, whereas a 36DD would have alarmingly little space for vital organs. Cup sizes go from the smallest, A, to further down the alphabet as volume increases. There is no upper limit I know of as women (and their plastic surgeons) continue to push the... boundaries of bra manufacturing.

You men better pay attention should you ever have a female companion you're expected to buy gifts for. Know your measurements when going shopping for a gift! And if you have to guess, err on the large size for letters and the low end for numbers. Maybe it won't fit, but you'll flatter her a little. Razz

i got into a little tiff with silvador last night and i wanted to tell him im not mad at him he was using Wikipedia for his measurements all these years and i wanted to tell him that Wikipedia is off by a few inches but it is off on the low side as in the numbers are bigger in real life so..... the boobies are bigger than he thought according to real life

Properly judging the bust size of the females in the comic is going to be very difficult, I think. Some have only appeared in a couple of pictures, and how large their breasts look may vary a lot depending on the pose and outfit they appear in, as well as the angle they are viewed from.

I do like to compare different characters, though I tend to prefer doing it from a visual point of view. It's just so difficult to add values to the appearance of many of the character, in my opinion, especially when the purpose is to compare several different characters.

Even with character reference sheets there are going to be diferrences in proprtions in drawing the same character due to the very nature of the human artist creating the picture, only a machine would make an exact copy each time. So there will be changes each time a character is drawn some will be preceptable, others for much of the time less so.
