Thank you, everyone! I've been looking forward to the finished version ever since I saw the lineart. Is it me or does he look rather suave?
Excellent work as usual, Vanessa. I love it!
There is a very small error in that his right ear should be white and his left ear silver, rather than his left white and his right silver; however, I don't mind that. It doesn't detract from the image at all. |

Hey, I'm not a thief. I trick people into giving me money, usually by "honest" gambling. There's a difference. I'm not Randy.

Well, tigers are prettier and more graceful than lions, but they are still closely related. |

True true. Well they do say you can't con honest people. |

whats a grifter?

A grifter is another name for a "confidence man" or "con artist". As Ultima said, you usually can't con honest people (though often you can): cons usually exploit greed, dishonesty and other such characteristics, though they can also exploit honesty and compassion (for example, making someone feel sorry for you to give you something). Tadelesh uses mostly sleight of hand in his tricks, especially being a card sharp, though con artists can use many different techniques.
On a side note, from Wikipedia: The first known usage of the term "confidence man" in English was in 1849; it was used by American press during the United States trial of William Thompson. Thompson chatted with strangers until he asked if they had the confidence to lend him their watches, whereupon he would walk off with the watch; he was captured when a victim recognized him on the street. |

I would appreciate it if you could, Vanessa, though you do not have to; I know you already have so much work to do. I love the picture anyway. |

You're welcome.
Yeah, I thought I was being original, but it turns out there are several black tigers with white stripes on Fur Affinity. I don't think any of them have silver on them as well, though. |

Congratulations, Tadelesh. Didn't know you were a tiger. kept thinking lion or panther, myself.
I still think you're going to try to sell me a used carriage, though. Maybe the Alps. |

Thought a tiger was a lion or a panther? Dearie me, and you call yourself a scholar and a scientist?
I don't know about a used carriage or the Alps, but I might try selling you some snake oil. I gather that's an important ingredient in some potions. |

I hope you don't go thinking I'm anything but a tiger, Fraulein Doktor. Though I'm curious as to how the mistaken identity came to be, as he had a little tiger avatar even before the royal one was made. |
