That and the fact that Apple wont allow "adult" programs on ther Apple store just to gain interest from other big name companys. |

Here is a list on why I don't like Apple and you should give this a consideration before supporting future Apple products...
1. Apple banning adult apps on iPhone, yet has double standards on their policy. Recently in Feb, Apple decided to ban and remove 'adult' apps. (First off, Apple doesn't allow nudity on iPhone apps to begin with, but on top of that it has decided to ban supposely apps that bare too much skin, bikinni apps etc. Strip Poker games (that don't even strip completely naked) have been banned.) YET- Sports Illustrated and Playboy apps are still on their store.
Alot of developers who invested money and time in producing these previously approved apps, got fucked over big time, no warning. Just removed them. Suicide Girl app for instance, flip strip, harmless app that has girls in clothes, turn the phone upside down and you see them in lingerie. Was approved not removed. They could have solved the problem by just having a 'mature' category.
2. They refuse to work with Adobe in making Flash available for the Iphone. They claim it is a technical problem. Adobe has been working on CS5 that allows developers to make apps using their CS5 flash compiler, but Apple recently decided to change their developer's policy to say you 'can't use any 3rd party development tools to make apps.
Here's what it can be compared to...
Imagine Microsoft decided to say all developers who makes application for the Windows7 platform MUST always submit their application to be approved by Microsoft before getting it on their OS.
In essence, Apple is violating AntiTrust laws in my opinion for telling developers what they can and can't have on their phone. Not to mention telling consumers what they can and can't have on their phone. Your only option is to Jail break to get the rejected apps.
Do you want a company like Apple to control what goes on YOUR device? |

This is why I have no interest in buying anything more than what I already have. A simple, Motorolla V3 Mobile phone which I use only when I go out, specifically for the reason for should it be needed in an emergency.
Anything else, I have my computer for that. Why the hell do I need anything else? |

Unfortunately I'm a mac addict for life. Sorry I'd rather deal with limited software, which is becoming less of an issue, over a swarm of viruses and errors any day. |

First off, failed attack Jerin. Reason being is that Apple may as well be Linux in corporate clothing. They scrapped their original OS coding and started building off of UNIX. If anyone isn't familiar with this, it's pretty much what the suite of Linux OSs have done, except they made it open source, rather than act like they just found the lost continent of Atlantis and need to charge an assload of cash to come visit. |

The iPhone seemed like an interesting device (Dad got one to replace his old phone that broke). But this iPad... it doesn't exactly agree with me in its size.
The way the person has to hold it when playing games that require someone to hold it in their hands, I had a feeling that there would be trouble for this device. |

Now now, why try to force anything to happen if it will take care of itself? Apple has already started turning people off and as they continue to show their true nature, the company will just eventually wither and die. Their business model so far amazes me as to how they could still be in business this far into the game. If I want to have some restricted/limited content, why pay out the ass when I can get a free and reliable OS from Linux that has essentially all the same benefits as the Mac, and unlike the Mac, actually encourages developers to add and expand. |

not an attack just a statement of preference based on my experience with both systems. I have used windows heavily, in addition to mac, and i find macs more reliable. To me they are worth the cost. |

That extra cost is really just for the operating system, and if that's the case I'd go with a free copy of Ubuntu, but I still have yet to try it out. |

That's an OLD myth/urban legend. The reason being is because the % of people using Apple/Macs was SO LOW that its not even worth a hacker wanting to try to hack and make viruses for the Mac. If you were going to make a virus that spreads, you'd do it for a PC because there are more people affected.
Macs weren't necessarily more reliable or more secure.
And on that bit of note. Here is the latest news:
http://www.pcworld.com/article/194686/former_hacker_microsoft_more_secure_than_apple_adobe.html
I will have to say that Windows7 is alot better now than any of the previous versions of Windows. |

The only good thing that Apple made was the Ipod. They should not have strayed too far from what worked. |

Give'm a break, those guys bust their ass in that company as much as any other. This type of conversation happens on so many forums so often it's so not snazztastic, it's almost as bad as the whole PS3 Xbox 360 thing. |

Not that I can actually imagine a lawsuit over that, but I find the iPad as useless as the Courier. |

Ipad is a e-book. Except if you need a e-book, buying it doesn't really worth it. This is not a laptop or a portable console. All the rest are bonus that they give to the e-book users. Personnatly, I doubt that Ipad as a big future but I will wait and see what the future has to offer.
Ipad pourrait nous surprendre.

I really don't see the need for the I Pad, I mean it looks like a good thing but unless you're always on business trips I don't see the need for it. I've never used an I phone so I can't say yay or nay. Now as for computers, I find my apple to be a heck of a lot better then most HP's and other window PC products. I don't have to worry about constantly downloading, and paying, for the newest anti-viral software, the load time is a lot faster, it works well with adobe and I can still play some of my favorite games like WarCraft III or Black&White 2.
Now I'm not bashing Windows by any means but I've had more problems with windows and HP Computers, though the HP laptops have been pretty reliable... till my last one burnt out on me, and I only owned it for a year. I just turned it on one day and it wouldn't start. Went to the Geek Squad and learned that it just died, I can't remember what they exactly said. Luckily they were able to save most of my information and I had a portable hard drive so they saved it all on that.
My mom and dad got a Dell, biggest piece of Crap ever. The moment they got it, nothing but problems and the help line was no help at all. They had to spend more money to go get another computer. Also, they had a nice printer but it was not compatible to the new windows program, can't remember if it was vista or 7, so they had spend MORE money for a new printer.
So I can't see how I feel about all Apple products but I have to say I'm happy with my Mac computer, more then I was with anything that was windows based. So I guess to each their own, as the old saying goes. |
