Do you think I should use cell or gradient shading?

Just wanted to hear from you guys on which shading technique you think is better.

First we have the cell shading:



Then we have gradient shading:




So, which technique do you guys think is better?

I like Cell but only because I fucking suck and would rather use it.

Thou why not both? but what package are you using?

Flash CS4 for the lineart and cell shading, and Photoshop CS4 for gradient.

I've always used cell, so I tend to like it better :/

Well then I'd say gradient if you increased the primary colour to a higher blend size with the 2nd

I chose gradient but to tell the truth I think both look good. So its up to you.

I'm on the same grounds as Aaron. they both look nice, though i tend to prefer gradient shading for the smoother look
