It had been days...weeks since she had left her home, traveling from town to town, trying to escape what was behind her. She was tired a bit worn from the walking she had done. Carmina wanted nothing more than to find an inn or someplace soft so she could rest a bit. She adjusted the duffle bag a moment on her back so it was sitting in a more comfortable position, readjusting her grip on the basket handle.

"Maschio sventurato che vuole i fiorini più semplici per un giro alla città(wretched male wanting more than simple florins for a ride to the town)," she muttered to herself as she continued on.

She wanted to reach BonBon soon. For any that might see her, she could easily be mistaken for a silver fox, but upon closer inspection, would see she was a feline. Was she a mix? Far from it. She was all feline, yet her markings made her...unique if you will. Right ear flicked a moment and she paused, looking over her shoulder as she thought she heard a sound in the distance.

Aedan had been opening his tavern for the day. He walked out to get out of the stuffy building, when he saw what looked like a fox, carrying quite a load. He came up from the side, and hoping not to frighten the newcomer asked, "excuse me miss, do you need help with any of that?" with an inviting smile on his face

Carmina's head was still looking over her shoulder a moment, but she quickly looked as she heard the male's voice, keeping her feet firmly planted on the ground to keep from jumping. "Aiuto?(help)" she asked and tilted her head and looked at what she was carrying, her grip tightening a little on the basket handle. "Grazie, but I will be alright." She smiled sweet as she could. "Scusimi(excuse me)? Can you tell me 'ow far it is to BonBon?"

Aedan chuckled a little and said, "well miss, hear you are" extending his hand out to the now bustling town in front of them. "looking for something in particular?" he asked curiously

Carmina blinked for a moment and looked to where he pointed. Her ears lay flat against her head slightly and she groaned. "Maledica la mia mente stanca(curse my tired mind)," she muttered and shifted a little. "A tavern or in. I'd like to find a room so I can rest and get something to eat."

"well it certainly looks as if youve come a long way, i'd be more than happy to make you something to eat, if you'd like" Aedan looked down the road, "other than that, there are plenty of places to stay all throught the town."

Carmina's ears flicked slightly with the offer and she nibbled her bottom lip softly. "I wouldn't want to inconvenience you sir," she said and switched the basket to the other hand. Her tail flicked for a moment, revealing it had a white tip to it. It was strange how she had the colorations of a silver fox, yet she was feline. She looked a moment to the town, but then back to him. "Ah...perdonimi(forgive me). I did not give my name." She gave a slight bow of her head. "Carmina Raramente."

Alex was in a nearby tree. He was hunting, but he fell asleep. He bagan to roll around and fell off the branch, he woke up in his fall "HOLY SHI" was all he could say before he hit the ground with a thud. He slowly looked up "Ohh, damn that hurt."

Aedan gave a bow and said, " the pleasure is mine miss Raramente. It is no inconvenience, but the option is up to you" Aedan heard rustling near them, but he didnt know what it was

Maxwell was walking past the tree when Alex fell from it, Startled as you would be.
"Jasus!" He yelled loudly, Stepping over to Alex and instead of what anyone else would do: Max laughed at him.

"Oh God damn, That was good Alex. You made my day."

Carmina blushed softly, but she smiled a little more. She opened her mouth to respond when she heard the rustle and the voice, causing her to jump a little, tail frizzing out. She looked about for a moment for the cause of thud, ears flicking as she caught the laughter as well.

"Ugh, fuck you Max." Alex said as he got up and rubbed his head and looked up at the branch he was laying on.

Aedan shot a look, "what was that?" he said quietly. he could see two figures by the tree in the distance, but couldnt make out who they were

Carmina shook her head and gave a shrug. "I am guessing that one of them fell or tripped and the other saw it," she said as she continued to watch the pair near the tree. Ears flicked back and she blushed as her stomach grumbled a bit. "Aheh...I believe I may take you up the food offer. I do not think I will make it much further on a grumbling stomach."

Max laughed a little but subsided and took off his hat, wiping his forehead with his sleeve.

"Aw, don't take it thick Alex. It was just some Slagging. Sure next time I get hurt ye can laugh at me! What were ye doin' up there anyhow?"

Alex heard voices nearby. He motioned for Max to stay quiet and quietly climbed back into the tree. He grabbed his rifle and called out to the two "Identify yourselves."

Aedan heard an ever so slightly audible grumble. "of course, its my pleasure." he motioned for her and said, "right this way, and youre sure you dont want me to take those?" Aedan saw/heard Alex and put himself infront of Carmina, "Its ok Alex, its Aedan" great scare her why dontcha he thought

Max looked up to Alex with shock.

"Jeaz! Are you on the buzz Alex?"

Max waved to Alex after he shouted his name.

"Radabouthe Aedan. Alex had a bit of a spill, must've hit his head."

Carmina nodded softly. "Grazie, but I will be fine with them. Been carrying them around since I left home," she said. As she heard one of the pair call out, she looked back towards the trees. Her eyes widened a but, but she once more kept her feet planted. Guns....I hate guns... she thought and closed her eyes as Aedan got in front of her to hide her shivering body.

Aedan recognized Max and Alex now, but felt Carmina quivering behind him. He quickly turned and said, "hey, hey come on now," putting an arm around her, leading her towards the tavern, "lets get you something to eat" Alex approached, and he stopped for a second

Carmina's hand wrapped around a locket that was often hidden from sight, but as she felt Aedan's touch, she looked to him and nodded softly. When Alex approached, she looked towards him, her ears flicking forward a little. "It was the gun more so than you," she said, tucking the locket away. She glanced towards the pair and shook her head softly. "I couldn't...I have money to pay. I wouldn't want to inconvenience anyone."

Aedan looked to Carmina, who was still shaking. He knew something was not right. Aedan said, "ive just opened, so i wont charge any of you,"
He leaned his head to Alex and said "leave the gun outside"
