Aaron-bro.. Let's make the battle at Vordoon something memorable yet leave the story open for "Twist of Fate: Season Three", okay? Everyone's worked hard on this story and I'd hate to leave it where its at now.

What do you say furs? Let's finish this part at least. For Aaron..!

Thank you very much, Adept. My npc rambled a LOT, but I'm a fan of talk radio, and so I had to type all that.

Aaron told me it would take him a while to come up with his view of the "Battle of Vordoon". This is mostly due to the lack of roleplay activity in Twist Of Fate. He should be back tomorrow or the following day.

To tell the truth I've got nothing. Its not that I don't want to post but after starting another post and looking at others I realized how out of control this one started. I was thinking of more of a restart, kind of an alternate Twist of Fate but not so broad. In other words, this post has too much going on its getting hard to follow.

In fact katmirs last post inspired me to try something. Its just thoughts right now but its turning into something. At any rate I don't think I'll be posting on here anymore.

It doesn't mean this post is dead. If you guys wish to continue and at least finish it, then be my guest. As for me, I sadly have no inspiration to continue this post, it pisses me off that I can't think of anything. Evil or Very Mad

Well, bro if you're gonna reboot Twist of Fate, then that's a twist of fate in and of itself. (dont hit me) I'm gonna wait til the end of August for anyone to post their character's point of view of the Battle of Vordoon (Legion vs everyone). And wether or not anyfur does, I'm going to type up my #12 post as an epilogue from the perspective of my crew on the Hephaestus.

((Well, being as this seems like it's going to be reset, here were some of my notes/story scraps that I was working on for later chapters.

They aren't in any particular order, but here you go. And a lot of them, other than the destruction of the Goblin city on Yagmoth, needed a lot of fleshing out.

Some of the things I was working on:

1) The relationship between Vectin and Caroline

2) The doings of Muwajie

3) The return of the Idols and Diva

4) Vectin, and his fleet, joining the resistance

5) The "Obi-Wan / Darth Vader" fight between Vectin and Jacob... so set the stage for Aaron Thomas

6) Some of the past of the Goblins, and who/what Vectin is.

7) Ginger and Slipnir

Diva smiled, and calmly answered, "But we do have one capable to matching military genius with Czar Jacob." She glided across the floor, setting her hand upon Fleishjaeger's shoulder, "Field Marshall... ah, do forgive an old story-teller, Knight-Gallant Fleishjaeger, I am humbled to be your presence."

The room stood in wondrous awe as Diva curtseyed deeply to Vectin.

"I... um... I am not worthy of such complements or praise. Especially from you, Diva."

"But you are, Knight-Gallant. I am in the company of a true hero of legend. I must pay homage." Again, she offered to Vectin her silken scarf, "Will you accept my plea, Knight-Gallant?"

The capitol city lay in ruins. Uncontrolled fires raged through body-choked streets. Smoke and the smell of burnt flesh hung heavy in the air. The Giants had become desperate. And, in their desperation, were becoming more and more violent. Lenneth Valkyrie understood the need for her to be incognito, yet such a common act violated her sense of lineage and honorable combat. Still, she had taken on the vestments of a priestess to conceal her true identity. She patrolled the streets of the goblin city wondering what had happened. As she looked, she realized the goblins must have put up some sort of resistance. But the resistance was unorganized, and... ineffective. Soldiers and armed civilians, both men and women, lay in blood soaked piles. She had quit counting the number of dead she saw. A vicious smile creped over her face, as she walked past the body of a dead Giant. "Well, even the Goblins were able to down a Giant. The Giants truly are pathetic."

Lenneth walked past hasty barricades that had been smashed through. All she could hear were the cracking sounds of fires. No one was alive. As she turned the corner Lenneth came upon the city square... and apparently the last stand of the goblins. Lenneth stopped. If any mortal emotion could be tied to the sudden rush of sensation that coursed through her, it would have been surprise.

Digging in the ground was a young boy. Covered in soot, and glistening from sweat, was using the Holy Spear Einheirjar, trying to scrape away the compact clay and mud. How dare the Goblin use the Holy weapon in that way! She growled through her teeth, "What are you doing with that, boy?"

Not stopping his work, he mumbled, "I'm keeping the buzzards from getting the bodies."

Lenneth paused at the solemn reply. Looking around the city square her gaze fell upon several, deep, mass graves. Each with filled with bodies of goblins covered in lime. "Did... did you dig all these?"

"Yes."

"Why? What happened?"

"The Giants came," replied the goblin boy. "They... they demanded our allegiance. My father refused. He said that we were Lenneth's children."

"Lenneth's... children?"

"Mmmhmm... Father refused to swear allegiance to the Giants. And they attacked us."

"Why?"

"I dunno... but Father would not sway. He said, 'Lenneth will come and protect us. We are her children. She would not forsake the offering we have given her'." The boy paused, and wiped at the grit and mud on his brow. "She... she never came. We tried to fight the Giants. To hold them off long enough for Lenneth to save us, but... but she never came."

Lenneth said nothing. The boy again paused from his grim work. He looked up at her, and asked, "Why? Why wouldn't She come and protect us? Are... are we not Her children?"

For the first time in all her existence, Lenneth was confused. "I... I... there... I don't know..." was all Lenneth could mumble back. She realized that the goblins had learned the fight... the hard way.

"Vectin, he's way better than you are, even with Einheirjar. You won't stand a chance," subvocalized Ginger.

"I don't need to beat him. I just need to occupy him long enough for you, Ginger."

"It'll take at least six minutes for me to infiltrate Legion, Vectin. Vectin... I'm afraid. Legion has already slain your technomagi... what chance do I have?"

"That makes two of us then. Never underestimate yourself. Good luck, Ginger."

"Vectin..."

"Get moving, Grace. I won't be able to hold him for long."

"Vectin Fleshjaeger... you never cease to amuse me," mocked Czar Jacob. "I've just slaughtered your marines. I've scuttled your warship. I've beat your pathetic armada. And yet you stand in front of me? In that antique armor? With Einheirjar." The mirth drained from Jacob's face. "I'll enjoy killing you and taking that relic. It'll make an excellent trophy of war."

"This spear is not meant for one like you."

"VECTIN NO!!" Screamed Caroline. Immediately she blinked. Grabbing Vectin close to her, she blinked again.

Vectin hung limply in her arms. Tears streamed down from her. "Vectin, no... no... wake up... Vectin... don't go... don't leave me..."

Pain filling his eyes, Vectin smiled. Teeth and lips covered in blood, he smiled at the wolverine-girl. "Papa knew you'd come for us."

"Shhhh... shhh... doc's coming... don't talk... don't talk, Vectin."

Vectin reached up, and brushed his fingertips against her cheek. "My beautiful valkyrie."

Oh, miss Caroline... What about starting your own thread with The Lady and her corner of the cosmos? I'd totally play in it. It seems more... NeverEnding Story. or at least near that flavor.
