I have a quick question that hopefully somebody can answer. As some of you who have known, I got Starcraft 2 and forced to play at the lowest quality settings, and still getting lag during some of the areas that often decrease the frames per second rating.

I just got a 2GB RAM stick added, summing it up to 4GB so far. I'm looking to get the maximum efficiency of 8 before the end of this or next month. Still, even with some of the training in computers I have, I have not determined which part should come first in order to get to the optimum efficiency with minimum lag capacity. I was recommended to get an upgrade from my old Radeon2600 to the Radeon 5750 or 5770. Do the graphics cards really make that much of an impact on quality settings for high-end games, or does it simply take away some of the stress from the RAM? Still, either way, I'm going to have to purchase a new power supply that I already have an eye for to keep up with the power demands with an inboard AC cooling system to keep my system from frying.

A good graphics card will take up most of the weight off of RAM to render the graphics so it is better to upgrade the graphics card first.

I'll keep that in mind. Just getting the power supply and the graphics card is going to cost at least 150-200. So I have to be quick to learn which is the most necessary. The RAM is easy enough to get a hold of cheap.

Well, if I ever play WoW again, I'm sure the graphics will blow me away. Blizzard has a way to make quite nice games, even if their games are few and far between these days.

One thing to rember with Ram sticks. If you are useing a 32 bit OS, the ram will bottel neck at 4gb, even if you slap in 8gigs worth of ram. so unless you plan on changeing to a 64 bit OS, you are better off with the video card.

Well, I still have'nt used my other Windows 7 upgrade yet to the system, since its still a Vista Model. Not sure though if its 64 or 32 bit. I better check later to be sure. If its 32 bit, I'll simply do the update and be done with it, since most, if not all the vista related tech is compatible with Windows 7. Either way, I'll be having my work cut out for me just getting the components. I won't be able to buy it all in bulk, but hopefully by november or so, I'll be able to get my computer up to snuff.

Edit: I took a quick look and its an AMD 64 bit so I should be ok. I wonder if it would hurt to get a better CPU core so that it can work with a higher Gz rating.

Does anybody here who has a Vista OS know of a good 64 bit that can surpass the 3Ghz rating and maybe into the 4th? If I can help it, I want my computer at its best.

Guys, I just got the new graphics card and right now, I am in a slump. My monitor for the PC will now not work altogether.

I used the static proof bag that it was wrapped in to gently put it in. I just found out that I needed the HDI cable which I'm going to get shortly.

Finally, after all the hassle that I've been put through, everything is put together, all the drivers are put into place, and now the game runs beautifully through the cinematics.
