Bought Burnout Paradise very recently, popped it in my PS3 and started enjoying myself. I then proceeded to explore the menus and found a very nice selection of cars that I could get from the Playstation Store.
Upon going into the in-game store I came across the label slapped on each of the content stating that it was not currently available. There was also a short list of possible reasons why it might not be available. As none of these reasons, to the best of my knowledge, seemed fitting, I exited the game and proceeded to the Playstation Store from the "desktop" of my console.
From there, I purchased the "Legendary Cars" DLC, paid for it and was greeted by the standard "Downloading" and "Installing" screens. These screens were not up for very long at all. I figured this was because it was only for 4 cars and was a total of 100KB. I guess I was wrong.
Upon returning to my game, I discovered that the cars I had just downloaded were not there. I quit the game and re-downloaded them and then checked a second time with no better outcome.
I then decided to do some googling. This is what I discovered:

Talk about a clutch fail. Why not inform Sony and inform them, maybe you can get a refund. |

I wouldn't even know how to begin to do that. Plus, it's only $9. Hardly worth the effort.
But you'd think if the content was no longer there to download, they'd update the fucking store to actually say "This content no longer exists." and some kind of block to prevent you from downloading it. Yeah, sure, that's what they had in-game. But not in the store itself. You'd think they'd actually remove it from the "shelf" instead of just let people be able to buy useless content. |
