Sunlight shone upon the town of Bon Bon as Leaf walked upon the cobblestone streets. In his arms was a wooden box filled with old books and pamphlets. Every once in a while, the rabbit would go through his shelves and pick out books that he had no need to keep anymore. He would gather them up and give them out to whoever needed them in town.

As he walked near some market stalls, he didn't notice that one of his shoes had its laces undone.As he stepped on the laces, he suddenly lurched forward and fell to the ground. The box flew out of his hand and shattered, spilling its contents in front of him.

A gentle breeze flowed thru her golden locks of hair which tumbled down her back in a shining cascade. The tigress known as Genevieve, or Ginny to those closest to her, walked thru the market district of Bon Bon. Perusing the wares the various merchants where selling, admiring a trinket here or a bauble there but nothing that particularly caught her eye.

Her ears twitched when she heard a crash and the cracking of wood behind her. Turning to face the noise, the sun shimmered on her dark green silk dress. It hugged her curves perfectly as it ran down to just above her knees.

Stepping from the stall she was browsing, Ginny went over to the male lapine, kneeling down slightly to help him pick up the scattered books. "Are you okay, my dear," she purred softly, meeting his eyes with her gaze, the sapphire blue of her eyes shining.

The rabbit's hat had fallen off his head, revealing his short brown hair. He groaned as he lifted himself up to his knees and dusted the front of his coat and shirt. He then heard a woman's voice beside him, asking if he was all right.

He turned to look and suddenly found himself face to face with a very pretty tigress. Her sapphire blue eyes gazed into his for a moment before he spoke. "Oh! Y-yes, I'm fine. I guess I must have tripped on something..."

Picking up his hat, she dusted it off before placing it gently on his head, "I see." Offering her hand to him, she rose to her feet, giving the rabbit a warm smile, "Since your box is smashed would you like a hand carrying your books to whereever you are taking them?"

Leaf accepted the tigress' hand and got back onto his feet. As he dusted himself off, he looked down the cobblestone street and groaned inwardly from the sight. Books were scattered everywhere, their pages fluttering from the breeze blowing through the town. His box was destroyed, its wooden splinters and pieces lying in the street.

"Oh, that's all right," Leaf said, "You don't have to do that for me, Miss...?"

Following his gaze, Ginny began to pick up the scattered books already as he spoke to her. Giving him a warm smile, she purred softly, "Oh it is no bother, monsieur. I am happy to help." Hefting a stack of books under her arm, she extended her free paw to him, palm down as a lady would, "I am Genevieve Champlange, but you may call me Ginny or Eve, whichever you prefer."

As the tigress began to pick up some of the scattered books, Leaf looked down and noticed his undone shoes. After tying the laces and making sure they were tied tightly, the rabbit looked back up and saw that she had already gathered half of his books.

He made a quick check and gathered the remaining tomes under his left arm. As she introduced herself, the rabbit gently grasped her free paw in his. "My name is Leaf Thornton, milady. It is a pleasure to meet you." The rabbit then leaned downward and gently kissed the back of her paw.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Leaf," Ginny purred softly when he kissed her paw. She took a liking to the male rabbit right away, he seemed to be very polite and proper which she favored. Not that she did not like to let her hair down and be wild too, but in her core she wanted to make her dear big brother proud of her.

Tail swishing behind her, she smiled at Leaf, "Please lead on, Leaf. I have nothing pressing to do today so I am available for as long as you need me." A soft giggle rolled from her, playfully hinting a double meaning to her words.

Leaf couldn't help but return her smile, feeling at ease around her. "Actually, I do not have much to do either. I was planning to give some of these books away to people who needed them."

As he spoke, his eyes took in her figure. A dark green silken dress clung to her, accentuating her curves and ending slightly above her knees. Her blond hair cascaded behind her, reminding him of golden fields of wheat during the fall harvest. "She's gorgeous," he thought to himself. "It's like she's some kind of angel." He realized what he was doing and chided himself for doing such a thing.

"A very generous thing to do. If you do not mind I would like to keep a few of these as a gift to my brother. But I will give you something for them in return for your kindness," Ginny purred softly as she spoke. Feeling his eyes on her body, she smiled slightly sensing the effect her appearance was having on him.

Cocking her head to the side slightly, she gave him a quick appraisal, thinking to herself, "He dresses sensibly enough with good taste in clothing without being too frivolous in spending on it." That mattered little to her though, while she did enjoy fine clothing, Ginny was not so much a fashionista to refuse to dress in more practical attire when needed.

Thinking for a moment as they walked along, she turned to look up at the tall rabbit, "Since it appears we both have little to do today perhaps you would like to join me for some coffee once we deliver your books?"

"Of course, Ginny. You can take as many books as you like," Leaf said as he smiled at her. As the two walked along the street, he thoughts turned to the tigress.

"I wonder what she's like... She's very sweet and I'd like to know her better. But how can I do that?"

When she invited the rabbit for coffee, he replied with a smile, "Why, that sounds lovely. I'd be more than happy to join you, Ginny."

Nodding, she purred softly, her tail swishing behind her, "Merci, Leaf. I am grateful. I won't deprive others of the chance to have access to such fine reading. A few are all I need for my brother."

Returning his smile, she continued along with him, "It would be a delight for me as well."

Leaf smiled at Ginny before he glanced around the street. He then spotted the place he was looking for, his eyes widening in recognition. "Aha! There it is!"

The building was only one story tall and built out of brick and mortar. Two windows with oaken frames were at the front and the roof was made of red slate tiles. A wooden sign hung above the door with the name "The Charity Chest" written in black, faded paint.

Smiling back, Ginny nodded as she followed along, her heels clicking softly on the cobblestones. Holding the books under her arm, she entered the charity behind him. Looking around, she thought this would be a good place to donate some of her older dresses which she didn't wear anymore.

A small bell chimed as the two of them entered the charity. Various toys and trinkets lined the shelves, ready to be given to the needy. Old suits and dresses were hung upon racks with hats and belts nearby. An owl was busy dusting off a shelf with books of all kinds.

"Hello, Jenny! I've got some more books for you today," Leaf said to the charity worker.

Handing over the books she carried minus the three she intended to give to her brother Lancelot, Ginny gave the owl a warm smile, "Good afternoon, ma'amselle."

Jenny looked over at the two new patrons and smiled at them. "Oh, hello! I see you have some books for us today."

The owl walked over to Leaf and Ginny and checked each of the tomes they handed her. Satisfied with their condition, the owl placed them in the shelf behind her. "I appreciate what you two are doing for them. I am absolutely certain they'll love these!"

Looking around the charity center, Ginny purred softly, giving the owl a smile, "The books are all his I'm afraid. I was just helping him deliver them. But I do have some old dresses I can donate which I will bring by tomorrow."

"Oh, that's wonderful, dear," said Jenny. "Anything you can give will be a great help to us!"

"It's no problem, Jenny," said Leaf. "Thanks again for letting us help you!"

"It's not a problem. I'm happy to help the less fortunate," Ginny smiled.

Turning to Leaf, she purred softly, "Shall we have that coffee now?"

"Well, I better get back to my work," Jenny said. "Thank you for visiting us."

"Thanks again, Jenny. See you soon!"

Leaf smiled at Ginny and offered his arm to her. "Yes... Let us be on our way."

Slipping her arm thru the rabbit's she gave it a gentle squeeze, following along with him as they wound thru the streets to find a cafe.

Leaf tipped his hat to Jenny as he led Ginny outside the charity onto the streets of Bon Bon. With the sun shining upon them, he searched for a cafe as the two walked. His eyes then set upon one that was found across the town park, letting the customers have a nice view of the scenery.

Crossing the park, Ginny smiled as she saw the cafe they were headed to, "Ooh I have been here before. They have the best croissants outside of France."

"Really? Well then, Let us have our coffee here."
Leaf led Ginny to a table and pulled out her chair for the tigress. After she was seated, the rabbit sat down as well and waited for someone to take their order.

Entering the cafe, Ginny followed him to a table, taking her seat she crossed her legs, "I would suggest the french vanilla roast."

The rabbit nodded at Ginny as a waiter came to their table to take their orders.

"I think I'll try the French Vanilla roast with a croissant."

"I'll have the same, s'il vous plait," Ginny said to the waiter, turning her attention to her lapine companion while they waited for their order to be brought. Scanning him, she purred softly, "So, Monsieur Leaf, tell me something about yourself."

As Leaf watched the waiter go deliver their orders to the kitchen, the rabbit had a feeling that he was being checked out. He turned his attention back to the tigress in front of him and heard her question. "Of course, Ginny. I've been living in this town for a year or two and that I was born in the United States."

Nodding, she folded her hands in front of her on the table, "I have been to the United States. It is a lovely country." Her ears twitched slightly as a few people passed by, "I am French-Russian....my parents immigrated from Siberia to Paris before I was born. My brother, Lancelot, was born shortly after they arrived."
