((Thinking of Zombie apocalypses and stuff, if you're ever stuck in Merry Old England, and need some duct tape, mind you there is a "T" in it... "duck" tape is an actual, registered, name-brand... Anyway, in England they call duct tape "Gaffers Tape".

...which makes me wonder what Gaffers do...

Anyway, I have a bad feeling thought that Island of the Dead's hero-classes are going to be the big-four generic classes... i.e., wizard, theif, fighter, cleric... just with different names. I know the archetypes are pretty standard... it... just makes for a predictable set of abilities.

And, really, why on earth would I want to get near a zombie, when I could stand back and shotgun-blast him into the next life. Mmmmmm... shotgun.))

I just watched the new trailer on gametrailers.com and... I'm a bit more sold. I do like the idea that you aren't the only survivors on the island. I've mixed thoughts on the idea of "you vs. the world". Sometimes it works... sometimes it doesn't.

Anway, the new trailer/movie is kinda intriguing. And I did like Left 4 Dead 2, which also was team-play survival. So... maybe I will get this one.

And who doesn't like machettes? Not as cool as a fire-axe, but... nice for cutting down all that cane.))

I dunno... I might get it for Steam, as it would allow for easier/free updates. But... I'm not a big fan of online play, as... the quality of people can vary. Tremendously. And, if I get it for the PS3, I can pick it up used.

Anyway, chances are I'll get it for Steam though. I have L4D2 on Steam, and it works pretty well. ))

((Well, I had a chance to watch the "Voodoo You Do" movie cinematic. And, Dead Island keeps getting that annoying more-and-more interesting.

However... I am worried about the other two class types. I have a bad feeling that you'll get a ton of "dmg" class types, and they'll constantly scream at each other "N00B" and stuff like that. Worse, the support class, which I think they're calling a "leader" or something like that, is basically going to be useless alone, but not useful enough to include in a group.

Still... the game is keeping me just interested enough in it that I might get it on Steam on sale or something.))
