Which one exactly, the news or the Disgaea?

First part is more about me agreeing with Caroline and drooling over the Netherworld. Second part is some light news on two MGS games, MGS5: Rising and MGS3D. I'll separate them by a line, just in case....

So, Duke Nukem Forever is being panned by critics as pure shit. Whether the game actually sucks or not is best left to those who play it, not some stick-up-the-ass reviewer in some gaming mag/site.

Know who I blame for this? The PR campaign. Publishers should NOT use these slimy, corporate ad agencies to promote their games. These assholes PLASTER the landscape with cheesy ads and annoying pop-ups to such an extent, that it's practically crammed down our throats. They're just challenging the mainstream guys to rip it a new one! (Unless it says Call of Duty or God of War, then the reviewers love it.)

Bottom line, decide for yourself by playing a game. Not by blindly following some journalism twit who doesn't give a shit either way. Don't be such a tool! The success or failure of a game should be decided by gamers, not the fukkin' media.

Played and beaten.

My opinion... eh... its fun but dont think it was worth that much the wait. Not interested at all in playing it on the hardest difficulty after unlocking it.

I would say if you enjoy fps's though its fun to play the first time just for the jokes and course if your a fan of duke with all the ladies and little easter egg references.

I've seen reviews for it. It does'nt look that great. I was more of a Doom fan myself.

the only game i can say i am looking forward to comeing out this year is the legend of zelda skyward sword for the WII

i have already seen the trialer and some of the gameplay and where trialers and gameplay oviosly only show ya the best parts mostly i can still happily say the game play looks amazing as do the grapics

true twilight princess has more realistc grapics where skyward sword has the old windwaker/ocrina of time grapics i aculty prefer the more cartoony style

I've loved Armored core. I played alot of the games since the PS2. Heat and energy balancing was often a big hassle. The money earned in IV was a pain in the neck because it was so confusing.

To get side-tracked again with Disgaea stuff... How do you all name your other Disgaea characters? Me... it depends.

The first characters I'm given I don't change their names at all. Regardless of what they are. Mine are a mix of inside jokes, humorous names, names I like, and more serious names. Most of them do fall into the "inside humor" side... which leads to some names that I understand, but not everyone else does. So... for example:

In Disgaea 3, my Shooter is "Rusty Bones". My Heretic is "Weiss", due to the white hair the Heretic starts with. My theif is "Sneakers", since she moves the fastest. My Masked Hero is "Ichi". While my Shrine Maiden is "Kaze-Hime". While my Barbarian is "Librarian Conan". So... it depends. ))

I usually name characters of mine based on various RP names I used or played with in the past, like Senshinoga (Often just call him Sen for short), Runai, Miko, Sin, etc.

I've preordered the SUPER-MONDO-DELUX-FAN package of Catherine from GameStop. Atlus has a pretty good Catherine website.

Also, look up Manoplace on Gametrailers. He's posted a lot of Catherine related stuff. ))

....... and people wonder why I don't play the Shin Megami games lol. The biggest turnoff for me is one of those games where you point a gun at your head and pull the trigger to activate abilities. Its like its promoting suicidal tendencies. Being a former person who tried to commit suicide, I try to shy away from those kinds of messages.

Well, not ALL Shin Megami's are like that. I mean, ever tried Persona? O Devil Survivor? Those aren't all about suicidal things and why I meant in Catherine, was that dying in the nightmare, meant dying in real life. Besides, is just mindless fun, mate.

I plan on pre-ordering the Playstation Vita on October, but only the wifi only vertion, Screw AT&T. Thou i also plan on buying/preordering Twisted Metal, and Saints row 3.
