The rabbit glanced over at the dealer, then at Ginny. He wanted to continue playing cards, but he was a little wary after seeing the magpie steal his florin.

"Perhaps we should partake in one more round of cards, then head to the park for some fresh air... Is this all right for you, Ginny?"

Ginny nodded to Leaf, "Oui, that is all right with me."

"All right, then... Let us play!" The rabbit placed 25 florins in front of him, waiting for the dealer to start the game. She began dealing the cards to the two players, lying her first card down. After the hands were dealt, the rabbit glanced at his cards...

[Dealer's Cards: ? and 13 (First card hidden and a King)
Player 1's Cards: 4 and 2 (A four and a two)
Player 2's Cards: 8 and 13 (An eight and a King)]

The rabbit couldn't help but have some foreboding sense of dread as he looked at the dealer's cards and his own. His ears were twitching out of nerves. There was a chance that the skunette had already reached 17 or higher with her cards. The only thing he could do was hope that his next cards didn't bust him.

"I'll take a card, please."

Ginny nods as she lays out her next bet, watching the dealer dole out the cards her tail flicks slightly thinking to herself, "This is likely to be a losing hand but I am commited."

Holding her hand over the cards, she simply states that she will stay with her cards.

The dealer dealt another card to Leaf as soon as Ginny stayed her hand. The card was flipped up, revealing to be a Queen.

Player 2's Cards: 8 and 13(An eight and a King)]

The rabbit's ears dropped back at the sight of the Queen. He had sixteen, which is precariously close to 21. If he took another card, there was a good chance he would bust. If he didn't take a card, he was more likely to lose.

Deciding to take a chance, the rabbit tapped his hand to receive another card. The dealer handed another card to Leaf, revealing it to be.... a seven. The rabbit had busted his hand at 23 and lost.

"Sorry, misseur," the skunette said as she collected his chips. She then flipped her first card over, revealing it to be a seven.

The skunette smiled as she handed Ginny her winnings.

Ginny let out a light smile as she saw the dealer draw a 17, knowing the house must stay on that. Looking over at her companion, she gave him an apologetic smile, "Sorry to see your luck has turned but it is one hand. Would you like to try again or do you wish not to press your luck any further?"

"That's all right, Ginny. It's how the game tends to go..."

The rabbit stroked his chin as he thought.
"Hm... I better not risk it. That magpie might have been an omen for this." Leaf started gathering his chips up.
