Safe, we rarely have tornadoes over here, one struck Birmingham with huge force recently.

1)T.S. Lee will be making landfall by this weekend and will most likely travel up the Ohio River Valley during the week.
2)Hurricane Katia is predicted to impact the Mid-Atlantic region next week as well. |

I can only imagine what that must've been like. A very close friend of mine is considering taking a path similar to yours any advice to offer?

First your friend needs to talk to his recruiter about becoming a 68W which is the Army's MOS for Health Care Specialist with info on the job here:

I do want to make this clear though.Getting to do MEDEVAC and other EMT jobs are based on the needs of the Army. |

| Well it looks like we have 2 storms to worry about Lee and Katia, what stinks for me is that i have a couple of friends that live in the path of those storms, hopefully they dont get too bad, although if my friend gets her job as an EMT it might be bad for her. too many what ifs |

| Can't say I've ever had that type of close relationship with anyone. I envy that. You are very lucky Arcanus, and I'm sure she will be okay. She will be in my prayers. If you have a way to communicate with her I recommend you keep in touch (if you haven't already) with her to see if she is safe and make sure she heads any evacuation orders. And Arcanus (don't take offence to this) try to be optimistic it helps trust me. |

Sorry i've been known to do that sometimes thanks  it just that i have a lot of stress and i have notorious bad luck and my friend was living in her car but another friend of hers is taking her in for awhile, and you have me as one of your friends now and i'll help you when things ever get rough for you too! |
