WARNING
This thread will likely contain spoilers.
So, I just finished watching the new Transformers movie, Dark of the Moon, and I noticed two primary things.
1. The substantial improvement of the movie over the previous two leads me to believe Spielberg had a much greater hand in its creation this time round. Though the first Transformers movie was good and the second was OK (though a little questionable), Dark of the Moon was substantially better for scripting, fight scenes and so forth.
2. The story line behind Dark of the Moon just doesn't quite mesh with the first two movies.
Thoughts? |

To be honest, this is Transformers we are talking about. So many different takes on a singular story makes it hard to commit to a single point of view. |

Shockwave didn't last long enough in battle, for such a dangerous decepticon, he didn't manage to kill or even wound a single autobot, very disappointing.
Q bot was retarded, very unoriginal of bay to include him, he could have atleast been more creative with the name, instead of directly ripping it off.
I found most of the decepticons disappointing, even megatron was insignificant, and that scene in africa were he terrorizes the animals, wtf up wit dat, compensating for being taken down in the last movie?
And did him and starscream have babies or something?
Ironhide died, very sad, twin bots gone without a reason, kinda okay with that, but explanation is required.
laugh my ass off when I watched the marines jump from the osprey and fly through the city like jets, some of them parts were so terribly unrealistic.
Atleast they produced a slightly more mature film, didnt care for the "Im under the enemy scrotum" BS of the 2nd film.
I think this was the better of the three, just cuz of the lack of ballsac jokes. But it makes me appreciate the first film better.
But all three were centralized around finding an alien object that could make or break the battle, they've done that story to death. |

This is a discussion thread, not a hating thread. I thought people of this forum would be civilised enough to leave that kind of simple minded hating out of here. But I guess I was wrong.
If you have nothing sensible to add to this thread/discussion, then kindly stay the fuck out of it. I don't want this turning into a bitch fight over "BAW! MICHEAL BAY SUCKS BALLS!" shit. Kindly keep your childish hating to yourself.

This is something I was talking about when I mentioned my second point above. Where the F did Ironhide come from? He got torn in 2 in the first movie and was not present in the second one. Did they sew him back together or something?

You know that they actually got professional sky divers to actually do that, right? |

They did, but there was only so much that could be done with that, they had to cg the faster scene of them flying under a fallen sky scrapper and getting shot down and what not.
I got a good question, remember the rail gun in the 2nd, why didnt they use that against the deceptions occupying the city, maybe even shoot out the pillar with it. Would have be sucky if they killed them all and one the day with the rail gun, but if you had that in your arsenal you'd use it. |

Rail gun...
I'd have to watch the movie again; not sure what you mean.
There is one thing that kind of bugs me, though, with weapons.
Right at the start of the first movie, when Blackout lands and totally OBLITERATES the base/outpost...
WHERE THE FUCK did that level of weaponry/technology go for the rest of that movie and the other 2? |
