Some say it's Mexico City, London or New York by the background image behind the pokemon figures to the 15th upcoming movie, but to me it's Chicargo, because of one building that has two spires on top of it, one hidden behind the figure.

Anyway, what do you think?

That just looks like an advertisement to pokemon figurines. not a movie advertisement. Plus I see a 'Volume. 1', so I don't know if it has anything to do with it.

There is a new pokemon movie coming up featuring kyurem but this isn't the right pic for it.

Pokemon needs to have a new main character already. They already overdid Ash's adventures.

Pokemon needs to stop. It's dead. It has been for the last 10 years. They're just beating an old, rotted and decayed corpse, now.

Pokemon becaome unoriginal after the second "generation" of pokemon released, and the series lost it's interest after the Hoenn series. The last pokemon movie I watched was, I think, the 4th one.

Let the corpse lie in peace.

It would'nt feel so old if they would just add a new angle for once. Its the same old thing over and over again. The second generation was'nt bad, but it became redundant after the 3rd.

I agree that several of the second generation were good, but in my honest opinion, they should have left it at just the original 151, with the exception of a few of the 2nd gen lot.

Did you know that Ash's Japanese name is Satoshi, named after the creator of Pokemon.

So?

So! Don't you think it's strange that the character in which is used and loses a lot in the anime and movies, is representing the creator of the entire thing, showing himself off like a billboard in an interstate!

You must either not watch the show much, or it has changed a lot since I last watched it. When I watched it, Ash typically won a majority of the battles he fought.

Yes, bit in Leagues, he always lose, and that's not including fictional leagues that are not in the game, such as the Orange League.

In the show nowadays, its all about stats and types that won in battles, where in past generation battles he fought, they were won through heart and hard work.

I... what?

You make it sound like there is some kind of worth while plot running through the games that is beyond catching wild creatures and forcing them to beat the shit out of one another. Aside from the weak plot that actually is there, as little more than a side-dish to the blatant, repetative catching and battling, the game is essentially just the player wondering around in the hopes of finding a "bigger stick than the other guy has".

It's not as if people actually give two fracks about the canon of the games/show. Most of the people who watch/play pokemon probably don't even understand the concept of canon and non-canon. This isn't like X-Men and Batman comics, or Middle Earth books where there is actually decent plots, believable and deep characters and key features and events that define the universe they exist within. These things have a way they are supposed to be; a predetermined and intended existence as imagined by their creators and those permitted to forge what comes next based on the original concept.

Pokemon is just a kid catching animals and pitting them in cock-fights. What canon is there in that? And to be honest, who really gives a fuck?

I'll be among the first to admit that Pokemon is... was a good show. I still very much enjoy the old series. But Pokemon is just turning into another Final Fantasy and quite frankly, it's pissing me off. How many more times are they going to introduce another collection of poorly imagined pokemon, "undiscovered" evolved states of existing pokemon and even stronger "ultimate" pokemon. Remember the days when Mew was the ultimate power? Those were good days. Now are the days when we've got ultimate, unbeatable pokemon coming out of our ears. And they don't even look original anymore! Let alone imaginative.
