It doesn't seem like you're getting terribly, positive reviews on Newgrounds. They aren't negative... but they sure aren't positive either.
Have you thought about advertising on some of the other anthropomorphic websites? Or subscription sites, like jkrcomix, Jab Comics, or something like that? As... it looks like most of the commentors on Newgrounds are kinda full of themselves. )) |

| Newgrounds is a pretty mixed bag, perhaps not the most targeted audience, but a start. Have you considered contacting Bad Dragon? It's an adult toy company that specializes in fantasy/anthro styles. Probably more in-line with the target audience. |

Bad Dragon ought to be a good place to advertise, I'd imagine. The home page of LL... uh... I'm not sure I've ever seen any adult oriented stuff advertised there, to be honest. |

Newgrounds is free advertisement.
I didn't have to pay to post there.
So if these other sites you guys are suggesting cost money to advertise, then that may not work for me.

HA! Advertisement bidding. LOL That's gotta be a new one, bidding for your add to run... yeah, that'll end up being cheap... NOT!
What about other paysites? No doubt they'd cost money as well, but a suggestion to consider at least, I think. Sexyfur, Clubstripes. I don't remember if CS has adds... I haven't had a subby there for a while. But I see a couple of banners on SF's main page. Also, what about Slipshine? Another possible place to advert. I only read a couple of comics on that site, but when I do go on there I see that there seems to be a lot of people going there.
Just, you know, ideas, suggestions. Probably not very good ones, but, who knows. One thing to remember, though... you gotta spend money to make money. Not to say that one should go wild with spending money, but that sometimes you needs to take a little leap of faith and spend a few dollars to make more come back to you in the long run.
Oh, also, I noted on the brief look at FA's adverting thing, they mentioned $20/month & $100/6months. In my personal opinion, that's not too shabby considering you can make a 6month add payment to FA out of a single subscribing member... which I'm sure you have more of.
Of course, I have absolutely no idea what the PBB budget book looks like, so I'm not saying you should follow any of these ideas. I'm just... you know, thinking aloud. I'm sure there are several expenses that require paying that come out of the money us loyal members send each month/3months. There could be room for a small cost to advertising, there could be none... there could be lots. Though if there was lots I imagine there wouldn't be a need for this discussion... I'm going to go back to looking at the round rump of my female character in Kingdoms of Amalur now because I am starting to ramble.

We've already tried FA advertisement before Vixine before.
Not much of a change or improvement.
The best thing for advertisement is VIRAL marketing. Things that people will want to blog about or link.
I don't usually advertise or trade with other paysites because at the end of the day, they're a competitor and they most likely will not want to give traffic to another competitor like us. Same with us.
We do have a "links trade" page where we will trade some links and just keep that to a minimum for exposure.
I can tell you this much. Spending money for ads is a complete waste of money as I have already tried this in the past many times. The best thing we do are affiliate programs for sites who are in the busineses of promoting others to make money. That is the best form of advertisement.
CPA- Cost Per Acquisition (meaning they get paid when they make a sale)
CPM - (worst advertisement model effort and probably the most wasteful) This is cost per impression. They charge you for how often the banner gets exposed. Which msot of the time people cheat and just popup ads and hides your banner somewhere that the surfers can't see and they want to bill you for the logs indicating the 'unique exposures'. This is more or less a scam driven advertisement. I would never pay for impressions. I have in the past and I can tell you they don't make money. Spending money to make money is not the case here.

Here is the thing we are starting to realize.
If you're a furry fan, chances are you already know about Bon Bon and Vixine by now.
I think the idea is to break into markets that haven't been exposed to furry and see if we can get new fans. |

Have you considered getting the site sponsored? My thought with Bad Dragon wasn't to have them advertise us, so much as us advertise them.
If you're after some free advertising, I'm pretty sure e621 is free to upload to, maybe try to post a few samples there. It is definitely more furry-centric and I know that the quality of Bon Bon's art would be gold compared to some of the works posted there.
IMVU may also be another possibility, although that would be more of a "make stuff to sell" kinda thing. |

Interesting read. See, I never really knew any of that sutff, so. *shrug*
But, yes, I see what you are talking about.
As for most furries already knowing what PBB is, while I agree that a lot probably do know, I dare say there are still a lot that don't know. The furry fandom is rapidly growing daily and is, in a sense, not disimilar from what "being gay" was 20 or 30 years ago. People are quickly becoming aware of and accepting... furrisexualism(?) as a major fetish and joining the fandom on a regular basis in large numbers. There's always going ot be new people to find... it's just a matter of having exposure in the right places for them to find this great comic.
None the less, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to look in other places.
I kind of wish I had a big, popular site where I could help advertise PBB, but I don't. Perhaps there is another option, though. If you made some nice little banners, maybe some loyal members could put those banners in their signatures on other forums they go to with a link linking back to PBB's main page. I know it's a bit of a stretch as there probably isn't a lot of forums people regularly go to that are both adult and furry oriented, but it would ultimately cost nothing as it would be the members of the PBB site/forum spreading the word, so to speak. I know if I had another adult/furry forum I went to, I'd be glad to do that. |

Some, but not all. e621 is essentially FA without all the glitz and glamor. Chances are, if it's on FA, you'll probably find it on e621. However, e621 would make it a bit easier to find as there is a vast amount of tags that can be used... which also means more pictures for those samples to get lost in... quickly.
e621 also has a DNP list. I don't know if it is self imposed of if it's by request. If it's self imposed, putting up samples would likely require some direct commmunication with those running e621. Personally, I wouldn't advise posting sample of e621 purely because those samples would quickly get lost. Free or not, I doubt it'd be worth half the small amount of effort put into it. |

That may not be as bedlamitic as you intended. A short film/advert, animated or otherwise on you-tube or adult sites could bring in other members.
If some chap shouting "Benson" as his dog runs off in Richmond Park in London can get millions of hits then I am sure a short animation could too. |
