Happy belated birthday!
Well, I'll be 42 in a few months myself, then I'll know the answer to life, the universe, and everything (but forget the question).
The subject of aging has been growing in my own mind, since things have started happening, slowly. My tolerance for sugar is down a fair bit, that happened in my mid-30's. Right around 40 my eyesight (which has pretty much always been corrected with glasses) started to change again. I'm nearsighted, and my near vision is starting to weaken. Also forming cataracts on my lenses, they tell me, but they do not interfere with vision yet (and the lenses in your eyes can be replaced, to my amazement!) Finally, just this year, I've lost the ability to support weight on one wrist without pain... this is not a huge issue yet either. Some research on that suggests that I fractured one of the small bones in my hand as a kid (and I know when, too), and that it did not set properly. This is common. Finally, I claim that my spelling and grammar are getting worse, but this could simply be due to too much exposure to the internet. 
But it doesn't really matter. Adjust your lifestyle and your diet as needed, stay active, HAVE FUN, and there's no need to fear aging.  |
